The Company
Borehole Engineering Services (BES) is a division of Drilcorp an expert waterwell drilling company based in Seaham County Durham and working throughout the United Kingdom. BES provides a specialist service to borehole owners in all aspects of borehole maintenance including: Licensing, Aquifer Testing, Water Analysis and Treatment, Submersible Pump Installation and Commissioning, Development, CCTV and Verticality Survey, Chemical and Mechanical Cleaning, Relining and Refurbishment and Abandonment and Decommissioning.
The Position
Our Borehole Engineers work in small teams throughout the UK and due to the nature of the work, must be prepared to work flexible hours and be prepared to travel and stay away from home. Successful candidates must have a full driving licence and must be physically fit as much of the work necessitates operating in confined spaces. Computer literacy is essential along with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office as operation records are sent to the project management team electronically each day. This opportunity involves a wide range of tasks as indicated above. The Company has an internal training scheme for job specific operations however candidates with any of the following qualifications will be favoured for the position;
• BS7671-17thEdition,ElectricalInstallation2360Parts1&2.
• IdeallyElectricalRegulationsBS7671Inspection,Test&Verificationwould be beneficial.
• Anengineeringapprenticeshipwith2years’experienceinthewateror associated industries where the installation and servicing of water pumping and distribution equipment.
Location
Based at our Seaham, County Durham Depot but working throughout the UK
