When you upgrade firmware. Please check the followings in advance. - Bootrom version previously installed - Firmware version previously installed

Please follow the upgrade procedure, otherwise you may lose your firmware/configuration which means you may need to install firmware/configuration from Bootrom Menu.

(This is for WIP5000A and WIP3000. Not for WIP5000.)

Bootrom v1.1.4 for WIP5000A (from F/W v2.2.8)

F/W Bootrom Upgrade to or

Downgrade to

F/W Bootrom Procedure

~v2.2.7 v1.1.2 => v2.2.8~ v1.1.4 [Procedure1:If you install Bootrom first.]

1. Put Bootrom v1.1.4 on your TFTP server.

2. Go into Bootrom menu.

3. Upgrade Bootrom.

4. STAY IN Bootrom menu. (Do not exit.)

5. Put F/W v2.2.8~ with “exe=1” loadrun.ini on your TFTP server. (including user.ini)

6. Upgrade F/W with Bootrom menu.

[Procedure2:If you install F/W first.]

1. Put F/W v2.2.8~ with “run=1” loadrun.ini on your TFTP server. (including user.ini)

2. Upgrade F/W with either handset menu or web access.

3. Put Bootrom v1.1.4 on your TFTP server.

4. Go into Bootrom menu.

5. Upgrade Bootrom.

6. Exit from Bootrom menu.

~v2.2.7 v1.1.2 => v2.2.8~ v1.1.2 1. Put F/W v2.2.8~ with “run=1” loadrun.ini on your TFTP server. (including user.ini)

2. Upgrade F/W with either handset menu or web access.

v2.2.8~ v1.1.2 => v2.2.8~ v1.1.2 1. Put F/W v2.2.8~ with “run=1” loadrun.ini on your TFTP server. (including user.ini)

2. Upgrade F/W with either handset menu or web access.

v2.2.8~ v1.1.4 => v2.2.8~ v1.1.4 1. Put F/W v2.2.8~ with “exe=1” loadrun.ini on your TFTP server. (including user.ini)

2. Upgrade F/W with either handset menu or web access.

v2.2.8~ v1.1.2 => ~v2.2.7 v1.1.2 1. Put F/W ~v2.2.7 with “run=1” loadrun.ini on your TFTP server. (including user.ini)

2. Downgrade F/W with either handset menu or web access.

v2.2.8~ v1.1.4 => ~v2.2.7 v1.1.2 [Procedure : You must downgrade Bootrom first.]

1. Put Bootrom v1.1.2 on your TFTP server.

2. Go into Bootrom menu.

3. Downgrade Bootrom. (Select “Upgrade” for downgrade.)

(You need to do double click on confirmation screen after downloading Bootrom .)

4. STAY IN Bootrom menu. (Do not exit.)

5. Put F/W ~v2.2.7 with “run=1” loadrun.ini on your TFTP server. (including user.ini)

6. Downgrade F/W with Bootrom menu. (Select “Upgrade” for downgrade.)

Caution : WIP5000A and WIP3000 have different Bootroms and F/Ws.

NOTE : “~v2.2.7” means all the firmwares released before v2.2.7. “v2.2.8~” means all the firmwares released after v2.2.8.
