Important Information
Workbooks & Voluntary Contributions
Payments have been coming in steadily for
workbooks and voluntary contributions. Thank you
for your prompt attention to this request. Please be
aware you can pay for these items in instalments.
Just remember to bring money, secured in an
envelope with the amount, your childs name and
class, clearly on the front. Payments can also be
made on the Booral PS website.
PSSA Cricket - Howzat!
Girls—Monday 9th March at Bulahdelah. Travel is
by private transport. Thank you to those parents
who have offered their support.
Boys—Wednesday 11th March at Tea Gardens.
Travel is by private transport. Unfortunately we do
not have enough volunteers to transport the boys to
this match. If you can help please contact the
school as soon as possible
Swimming Carnival - Thursday 5th March
The combined swimming carnival is tomorrow
(Thursday 5th March). The points from this carnival
go to the annual competition between the three
schools and to our schools sport house competition
between Currawongs and King Parrots.
Students from Years 3-6 will be attending the
carnival and those students in Year 2 who turn 8 this
year are eligible to attend.
Lunch orders have been held over from the earlier
carnival and will be available on the 5th March.
There will be no cost for this excursion as the school
will pay for the bus travel from our Isolation Funding.
3/4 Soccer Gala Day - Wednesday 18th March
The date for this year’s soccer gala day in
Gloucester is Wednesday 18th March. Students
from years 3 and 4 are invited to participate in this
event. Parent transport is required for this activity.
Stage 2 Camp—Zoo Snooz
Notes were sent home last week for this excursion.
They included an itinerary, permission note, medical
note and a lunch order for the return journey. A
deposit of $20 is required by Friday 6th March, to
secure a seat. The final payment will be required by
Thursday 9th April (last day of Term 1). If you are
having difficulty in making this timeframe please
contact Mr Pearson, to arrange a payment plan.
Programmed School Maintenance
As a part of our school’s programmed maintenance
we are having some asbestos sheeting removed on
10th and 11th March. This work will take place after
school both days. No one is permitted onsite from
3:30pm on these days. The school’s telephone will
be diverted to Mr Pearson’s mobile should you need
to contact the school. As a result of the scheduled
works there will be no Band on Wednesday 11th
March and no Canteen on Thursday 12th March.
Any families wanting further information please
contact Mr Pearson through the school’s office.
Contractors will be working on the Administration
building this week and the tennis court will be
resurfaced starting Tuesday 10th March.
Rewards Day
Rewards Day is this Friday 6th March. Rewards will
be class based. Teachers will let their classes know
what activity they will participate in

Our first assembly for 2020 will be hosted by the School Captains on Friday 13th March at 9am.

Combined Cross Country
The combined cross country will be on Friday 20th March at Stroud Public School. The P&C will cover the cost of the bus. Permission notes will be sent home later this week.
Band
There will be no band practice 11th March 2020. Lessons will be as normal throughout the day.
School Banking
Banking day is Monday.
Bank books are to be placed in the basket provided at morning assembly. For more information contact the office.
Stroud Showgirl Workshop
Stroud Showgirl Hannah Baldwin is
holding a work shop for all girls from
the ages of 8 to 24.

Stroud Junior Showgirl 2020
This year the Stroud Show Society will be holding a junior competition for your girls within the community. The Show society has decided to run two age groups:
Stroud Junior Showgirl 8—U13
Stroud Junior Showgirl 13—U18
Judging will take place—
Saturday 28th March
Time: 11-2pm (subject to change based on entries).
Where: Stroud Tennis Club
Announcement will be at Stroud Show

Entrants will be judges on how they present
themselves, their personality, asked different
questions about general knowledge, ambitions and
goals. There will be great prizes awarded for the
winner of both categories.

5th - P & C meeting - 6pm, school office
7th The Lion King movie night– from 6pm, school
grounds. We have a wet weather option, so
please buy a ticket. If you haven't ordered a meal
there is still a chance to get your order in. There
will also be limited options available on the night,
if ordered before 6pm Saturday.

The Stroud Crowd Choir Juniors
The Stroud Crowd Choir now have our own
rehearsal space at the School of Arts so would like
to offer the joy of singing to younger members of
our community. Anne Frost will run the sessions.
She has worked as a vocal coach, singing teacher
and holds ATCL in both singing and drama.
Please ring Anne Frost 49945800 if you would like
your child to join. There will be an initial charge of
$25.
