"oom" is a powerful "speed demon", an inter$dimensional entity from %arth Two

and the archenemy of &ay 'arrick(The Flash. )fter the singularity caused *y the

+everse$Flashs "demise" on %arth -ne opened in %arth Two, oom traveled to %arth

-ne, learning of the eistence of /arry )llen(The Flash. 0e came to despise him and

etorted meta$humans from %arth Two to try and kill /arry. 0is ultimate agenda,

however, is to increase /arrys speed to its 1enith so that once he siphons all of his

2peed Force power, he will truly *ecome the fastest *eing in the entire multiverse.

%arly life

Little is known of ooms history3 it is supposed that the eplosion of %arth Two

0arrison 4ells particle$accelerator gave him his powers. No one knows what he

looks like or his true identity *efore *ecoming oom.

2upervillain career

oom 5rst appeared on %arth Two around the same time The Flash ac6uired his

2peed Force powers, rampaging through !entral !ity killing hundreds of people.

)s one of his 5rst acts of violence, oom tricked 78 mem*ers of the !entral !ity

9olice :epartment on %arth Two into a trap to demonstrate his power and how he

couldnt *e stopped. oom viciously murdered all *ut one o;cer so that he couldlive and tell the tale. )fter that o;cer relayed the story, oom returned to his home

that night and killed him as well. The story given *y the last surviving o;cer

resulted in oom gaining his moniker.7#

Flash spent the net two years of his career tracking oom with little success and

oom in turn *ecame o*sessed with destroying Flash, desiring to *e the only

speedster in eistence. Flash and oom had numerous encounters, *ut Flash came

to *e scared of oom and sometimes deli*erately avoided 5ghting him out of fear.

oom *ecame the most feared villain in !entral !ity.

&ays 5nal confrontation with oom ended atop a skyscraper after a chase through

the city3 oom *egan phasing his hand through the Flash, draining Flash of his

speed. /efore oom could 5nish him o

oom is o*sessed with speed to the point of *eing unsta*le, as noted *y his creator,

he has set a mission of eradicating anything else with super speed and at the same

time, continually increase his own speed *y stealing others, namely /arry )llen at

the moment. )ccording to %arth Two 0arrison 4ells, those under the enthrallment of

oom are *ound to do things out of character, such as turning a thief into a killer.

oom instills a tremendous amount of terror in almost everyone he encounters,

including &ay 'arrick himself who descri*es oom as *eing a "demon with a face of

death". &ay even admits he didnt confront oom sometimes when he should have

out of fear.

2ome time later, oom attacked the science *uilding of !entral !ity !ollege and

kidnapped 0arrison "0arry" 4ells daughter, &esse 4ells, and is currently holding her

hostage.
