Keep your eye on the board outside the canteen the calendar and newsleer for upcoming dates. Choir performance: Our school choir will be performing at Edgeworth Town Square on Tuesday 5th December at 10am. Please pop over and support our wonderful students if you can spare the me. Private transport will be required for this event. Permission notes need to be handed in ASAP Paddington Bear Movie Friday 15th December: As part of the end of year celebraons students will be going to Lake Cinema to see the Paddington Bear 2 movie for 12pm session. Notes have been sent home today. If you require another copy we have also uploaded to the school website. K-2 Excursion Speers Point Park Wednesday 22nd November: Please return the permission note for Speers Point Park excursion by Thursday 16th November to ensure your child is included in the day. Students depart school at 9:15am and will be walking to the venue returning at 12pm approximately. Bus passes: All students who are going from year 2 to 3 OR year 6 to year 7 and are changing schools need to go online to hps://apps.transport.nsw.gov.au/ssts/updateDetails to update details and make an applicaon for next year`s bus passes. If your child is NOT changing schools passes will be automacally updated. Issue 8 Book Club: Brochures for issue 8 have been sent home today. Orders need to be either submied via the LOOP or returned to the office with payment by Thursday 23rd November. Payments at office: Just a reminder that we have EFT available in the office for payments if you don`t have cash handy and we can also take payments over the phone this way as well. Permission notes would sll need to be sent in but this may help with ease of payments. Student banking: Please remind your child to bring in their Commonwealth student banking deposit books every Thursday morning. Well done to those students who regularly bank. Every deposit earns a Dollarmite that can be saved up and used to claim rewards for the student and also is a fundraising avenue for our school. Term 4 is flying by: Week 5 already and the remainder of the term will be busy for students and staff with end of

year activities reports to be completed and fun events at the school. Keep your eye on the board outside the

canteen the calendar and newsletter for upcoming dates.

Swimming Scheme: Continues until Friday 17th November at Charlestown Public Pool.

School Stream: Our new communication system will hopefully be up and

running by the end of this term. This will be an app that can be

downloaded onto your phone to enable the school to send out

information as soon as it is available.

Calendar: We have removed the side school calendar and attached this term at a glance to this issue. Please

keep this handy to refer to for upcoming events.

Breakfast Club:

Breakfast Club continues every Tuesday morning from 8:15am-9am in the school hall. The last

day for Term 4 will be Tues 28th November. This activity is run by Our Community Place and

supported by IGA Boolaroo and Boolaroo PS.

Homework Club: The last homework club fir Term 4 will be Monday 27th

November. Students are still welcome to come along to this valuable service provided by Our

Community Place between 3-4pm.

Xmas Carols planning meeting: Monday 20th November at 3pm

Crazy Hair Day - Friday 24th November. Students to bring a gold coin donation. Canteen will be offering a Pancake Meal Deal on the day.

Mango update: We will have a few extra trays still available to purchased once the mangos arrive in late November.

Living fundraiser: We have just a few plants left to sell - they’d make great Xmas presents so get in soon if you are interested in this fundraiser!

Year 6 Farewell & School Disco: Monday 4th Dec at Club Macquarie arrive at 5.30 for dinner at 6pm Disco starts 7pm and ending at 8:30pm., all welcome.

End of Year and Xmas Celebration: Mon 11th Dec 5:30pm BBQ then 6:30pm Concert. We will be holding a Sausage Sizzle, a raffle with 4 large prizes 4 small prizes. Santa will be coming to visit and there will also be a photo booth set up.

Hunter Schools Environmental Network Meeting:

Wednesday 15th November, 4pm at Awabakal

Environmental Education Centre at 51 Boundary

Street, Dudley. Teachers and support staff, as well as

interested parents and friends from your school’s

community are welcome to attend. At this meeting,

we will discuss environmental dates for 2018. What

dates does your school participate in and what activities are run on these

dates? It is also an excellent opportunity to make connections with other

people involved in environmental and sustainability education in schools

and ask any questions you may have about projects in your school.
