books now since my wonderful cousin in Illinois, Ashley Boege, will not read

and send "No Logo" back to me. I can't be mad since I forced it upon her

when I was out there a few years back and now that she is In Utero (at least I

think she is. I need to contact her....), she will NEVER find the time to read

it!!!!!!)

The old school green alarm clock you see set to 4:20 was given to me

by my old next door neighbor on Lomita, Kioshi "Kay" Saiki, who was more

of a grand-father to me than a friend. I loved that man with all my heart and

I still miss him quite a bit. I could use his guidance in these turbulent times

of my life.

The alarm clock is haunted, though, as it has done some strange stuff in the past, like going off when it has not been set for fifteen years. The

second time it happened, my mother, Roberta Farrens, admitted to messing

with it but that does not explain why the alarm went off the very first time,

when it was buried deep in my desk drawer, untouched for five years and my

Mom swears she did not mess with it that time.

I believe her.......

Speaking of the Occult, you might notice the deck of THOTH Tarotcards, created and designed but not drawn by Aleister Crowley, and wonder

what that is about. Yes, the cards speak to me and if I were to do a reading

with them on you, it would either amaze or terrify you.

Tarot cards of ANY kind, if used correctly, use up an incredible amount

of spiritual energy so I do not mess with them much, unless I am in the

company of my original partner (unless you include my father, who taught

me a little as a youth.....he was a great man) in all things Occult, Victoria

Bell, a woman I consider my blood kin. I deal and choose the cards while she

interprets, though I can do both but it is a foolproof system developed in

2001 in the Hills of Berkeley. Why mess with a good thing?

Besides, they are not as dangerous as a Ouija Board but they are still

NOT something to take lightly, especially Aleister Crowley's THOTH deck.

Barnes and Noble carried many a different set of Tarot decks (there are quite

a bit of different kinds, some of The Light and some of The Dark.......) but

only serious practitioners of Tarot, or those attracted to The Dark, use theThoth deck.

I use THOTH Tarot because that is the kind of Tarot cards my

deceased father taught me to use when I was seven years of age (before my

father was infected with a Demon that came out of this haunted mirror I

now refuse to have in my house, ignorant as that may sound. If you

remember the house on Lomita, it hung on the north hallway wall, just west

of the bath-room door. His addictions were always there but when he hungthat mirror over his bed in the Michaelangelo house, I knew it was ALL BAD

since he had always insisted I NEVER stare directly in it and after a year or

two of it hanging there, his mental and physical state deteriorated

considerably. It's a strange, wavy looking type mirror. I think that and his

stupid fucking cunt of a cousin Stephanie, along with the Vicodin and the

benzodiazepines, all conspired to created the monster that existed in my

father, Laurence 'Larry' Farrens, in The Year of Our Lord Two Thousand and

Six.....); it is a comfort for me to use the THOTH and although his deck ismuch nicer than mine, I can and will never use it.
