HISTORYOF ESTABLISHMENTFaculty of Economics Universitas Diponegoro (FE Undip), which was established on March 14,1960, is one of faculties in Universitas Diponegoro, Semarang. Since 2011, Faculty of Economicschanged its name into Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB Undip). FEB Undip has twodepartments (schools): School of Economics and Development Studies and School ofBusiness.

FEB Undip offers undergraduate, master and doctoral programs in all departments. Masterprograms consist of Master of Management (since 1997), Master of Accounting (since 1999) andMaster of Ecomics and Development Studies (since 2000). The Doctoral Program has beenoffered since 2002. FEB Undip also has a professional program known as ProfessionalAccounting Program established in 2003. All study programs in FEB Undip have beenaccredited and awarded “A” category (outstanding category) by the National AccreditationAgency for Higher Education, Republic of Indonesia. Internationally, FEB Undip is accreditedby the Alliance on Business Education and Sholarship for Tomorrow, a 21st CenturyOrganization (ABEST 21).

VISION“In 2020, to be one of the leading campus in the implementation of Tri Dharma (Three

Universities Dedication) at both national and international level as well as embedded in the

community environment”

MISSIONTo realise its vision, Faculty of Economics and Business sets the following missions:

1. Organizing academic and professional education in economics and business which produces

religious, independent graduates that put Pancasila into practice, open minded with

sophisticated science and technology, and have ability to compete globally;

2. Producing excellent researches that are responsive to the dynamic environment, able to spur

changes in science and technology for the benefits of society;

3. Organizing community service programs based on economics and business science and

technology as well as local wisdom;

4. Being a responsive faculty and an agent of change in science and technology;

5. Being a science and technology development agencies in the field of economics and business

especially in the social environment;

6. Promoting the establisment of good university governance.

GOALSBased on the vision and mission, the goals of Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas

Diponegoro are as follows:

1. To produce professional, independent and competent graduates in economics and business

who are able to access global competition;

2. To conduct research projects and community service in accordance with the development of

science and technology that can improve the image of Faculty of Economics and Business in

the view of stakeholders, both nationally and internationally;

3. To develop the academic community life that has soul of entrepreneurship on all citizens of

the campus, supported by a scientific culture that is faithful and devoted to God Almighty;

4. To develop academic programs such as postgraduate programs to enhance the professionalism,

capability, and accountability by following the development of science and technology in

governance and the independence of college administration.

INTERNATIONALUNDERGRADUATEPROGRAMThe International Undergraduate Program (IUP) is established to meet the demand of today'sinternational competition. All courses are delivered in English and the curriculum is in parwith the top business school’s standard. The program consists of two majors:

INTERNATIONALBUSINESS ACCOUNTING

During the study, students can test theirclassroom theories and get innovativenetwork through internships, business casecompetitions, career fairs, and studentgroups. All IUP students will also experienceto become parts of the global societythrough double degree or internationalexchange program.

Double degree program allows students toobtain two undergraduate degrees fromUndip and partner universities. Since thecurriculum in IUP FEB Undip is set to theinternational standard, all credits obtainedin Undip are transferrable to the partneruniversities worldwide.

Regular IUP students are obliged to fulfilla 6-month student exchange with partnerinstitutions. Thus, both double degree andregular IUP graduates should have strongcross-cultural competence and ability toadapt in new cultural environment to matchtoday’s competitive demand.

With a well-design curriculum, facilities andresources, FEB Undip’s IUP gives studentsknowledge and skills to succeed in a globalbusiness environment.

GRADUATE PROGRAMUniversitas Diponegoro (Undip) is one of the leading universities in Indonesia that has a variety ofstudy programs. As a part of the university which is responsible for business education, theFaculty of Economics and Business (FEB) focuses its resources to provide relevant programs thatmeet the needs of industry and society. The main principle that make FEB unique is the strongemphasis on the distinctive Specialization and Research Approach.

Graduate studies at the FEB Undip places a strong emphasis on the issues of anti-corruption,ethics, leadership, and sustainability. It aims to provide relevant curricula that nurture responsiveand responsible business leaders for creating and maintaining better business, society, andenvironment.

FEB Undip offers both Master and Doctoral Program in Management, Accounting andDevelopment Economics. All these programs incorporate the values of local wisdoms as part ofits curricula. The School also offers two type of research approaches, namely quantitative andqualitative research. These approaches are uncommon in the Indonesian Business Schoolsbecause most of them usually offer quantitative research approach.

ACCOUNTINGPROFESSIONEDUCATIONAccounting Profession Education (PPA) is an additional education for Bachelor of Economics(Accounting department) in order to create graduates who are competent in the field ofaccounting. PPA Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Diponegoro was establishedon May 7, 2003 by decree of Higher Education number 945/D/T/2003 and RecommendationIAI number 193/KERPPA/IAI/I/03 on January 27, 2003.

The results of the accreditation of the National Accreditation Board (BAN) of Higher Educationis A, valid until December 21, 2019.

Professional designationsReferring to Permendikbud No. 153/2014, the students who passed the Accounting ProfessionEducation program are entitled to use the title of Accountant and obtained the certificate ofthe Accounting Profession in the form of Chartered Accountant (CA) after passing the tests ofaccountant competency organized by the Indonesian Accountants Association undersupervision of the Committee of Experts Advisory Equation Certificate Accountant.
