Ancona, overlooking the Adriatic Sea, has one of the major Italian ports.City of art with an old town full of monuments and a thousand-year history, is one of the main economic cen-ters of the region, as well as its main urban center in size and population.

Jutting into the sea, the city rises on a hill-sha-ped bent elbow, which protects the largest na-tural harbor in the central Adriatic. The Greeks of Syracuse, who founded the city in 387 BC, cal-led it “ankon,” which in greek means elbow pre-cisely for its shape. It is the only city in which you can see sun rise and die in the sea. The population is more than 100.000 people, as of 2006, 92.77% of the population was Italian. The largest immigrant group came from other European nations (particularly those from Albania, Ro-mania and Ukraine): 3.14%, followed by the Americas: 0.93%, East Asia: 0.83%, and North Africa: 0.80%.

The town is finely situated on and between the slopes of the two extremities of the promontory of Monte Conero, Monte Astagno, occupied by “the citadel”, and Monte Guasco, on which the Duo-mo stands (150 m). The latter, dedicated to St Judas Cyriacus, is said to occupy the site of a temple of Venus, who is mentioned by Catullus and Juvenal as the tutelary deity of the place.The center of Ancona is not just made of old monuments, is cha-racterized by long alleys of squares and shops and then there is a far industrial district.

Some places in Ancona are really natural paradises, where you can see a fantastic landscape, make trekking, riding and if you want a relaxing pic- nik.Cardeto Park is close to the center, and here there is an old roman building. It is right above the economics university. When you exit from the faculty turn left for 50 meters and enter the gate on the right.

Cittadella Park: you can arrive here on foot or by bus or it would be a good walk uphill. You have to cross Ancona toward the train station and pass through secondary streets where there are the most beautiful houses of the city. If you are lucky , in the park you can see a lot of young people that play at medieval combat with very elaborated dress up.

Conero Park: is a nature reserve, where you can ride and walk, it’s not close to the center, but covered by bus and it’s a short run. If you love the sea bring the swimming suit for the beaches of Por-tonovo!

our committeeThe LC was funded in 1963 from a professor of eco-nomics and passed a bad moment around 2000, from which in the “dark period” Ancona started to get worse.After the “dark period” some Alumni helped the LC to have a girl as only member and president, helping her to have new members.From that moment on, the members contributed in four years to arrive in 2010/2011 with the Executive Board that brought the LC to be the best in Italy with 50 exchanges (best in Italy) and 4 projects realized with full satisfaction of the interns and partners.

For the years 2011/2012 we’re achieved plus 115 exchanges and 7 projects realized.

Now, we’re the third committee in Aiesec Italy.

Lc population is around 25 to 30 members, most of them are studying economics and they don’t come from Ancona.

Aiesec Ancona is working for realizing 2 projects in November:

• EDUchange project (goal around 20X)• Build your Business project (goal around 10X)

What we need is a responsible of the matching/VISA procedures/realization parts.

We will create a specific team leaded by our CEEDER in order to guarantee all the Projects goals. The ICX CEED will be trained from our VPICX GCDP about the Italian burocracy and will work to-gether with the VPICX GCDP and OCPs of the projects.

1. Coordinate the Match team composed by 3-4 members of the LC;2. Responsible of all the TN available on the system;3. Manage all the interviews with the Match team;4. Responsible of the VISA procedures;5. Coordinate the reception of the Interns;6. Could support as a member of AIESEC Ancona, the LC during the Autumn recruitement;7. Participate to the LC activities;8. Could participate to our National Conference in September.

o Period: from 1st of September (preferred) to middle of November (required).

o Accomodation provided

o Food: We will give an university card. With this you can eat in our canteen for lunch and dinner only with 5 € each meals (inculed: first dish, second dish, vegetables, free drink, bread).

o Internet conditions: Free WI-FI in the university and possibility to have an Internet Key that you can recharge what ever you want.

o Trasportation: The flight will be covered in base on the ceeder performance but the ceeder have to buy the cheapest flight (or transportation) in accordance to us.

Refundable transport conditions: • 50% of KPIs achieved: 25% flight covered; • 60% of KPIs achieved: 35% flight covered; • 70% of KPIs achieved: 45% flight covered; • 80% of KPIs achieved: 55% flight covered; • 90% of KPIs achieved: 65% flight covered; • 100% of KPIs achieved: 100% flight covered.

o Urban traspotation: are not covered the cost is 33€ for 1months and you can take all the bus that you want.

o Working conditions: from Monday to Friday – Saturday sometimes.
