Shaker Heights Chamber of CommerceDebra Hegler, President

Local Speaker & Business Advisor with over 30 years ex-perience in sales, finance and business management. Shenow celebrates a successful four years of helping companies“Mind your business”.

Debra started Shaker Heights Chamber of Commercewith a eye towards technology. “We were the first chamber tooffer mobile marketing and our website is designed to helpany business representative click through to get business re-sources”.

Her business background started in Ann Arbor, Michiganwith a Savings & Loan in 1978 then she moved into retailsales, and from there to telemarketing management. She re-calls “ I worked for Sprint when it was owned by GTE, quite awhile ago”. After telemarketing, she went on to sell telephoneequipment and from there she started her first company, run-ning the Miss Michigan Venus USA beauty pageant.

She moved to Shaker Heights, Ohio shortly after gettingmarried in 1999 as a trailing spouse and has one son, a Wood-bury Scholar student in the 5th grade. Once planted here shestarted an event planning company until the bottom droppedout of the economy and an opportunity to organize a Chamberof Commerce caught her eye.

“This is so much work, and so much fun”, she says. I get tohelp businesses grow and learn more about many industries atthe same time. We’re preparing for our first State of the City Ad-dress by Mayor Leiken on April 26, 2012 at Shaker Lakes Na-ture Center. What could be better? The Chamber is a resourceavailable to businesses all over north east Ohio.

"Two Became One"This spring, 2012 saw not only unusually warmer weather,

but the welcoming of two new members to the offices of Of-fice Net Central. They are, Consulting Ministries and Busi-ness and Technologies Seminars.

Consulting Ministries is headed by Rev. Patricia DeLeonwho founded the organization back in 2005 to assistchurches, small businesses and community groups in achiev-ing their project goals. It's tagline is, "Equipping the Saints forService."

CM has recently added to its portfolio, virtual office assis-tant services, which it provides to its clients includ-ing Business and Technologies Seminars, which is directedby Mr. Clifford E. Melton, who is a licensed FCC Instructorand Examiner.

ONC & Shaker Chamber of Com-merce started a business networkinggroup, rotating restaurants on the squareevery Tuesday evening @ 5:30 pm.They NEVER know we're coming. Butwe DO bring traffic to an otherwise slowTuesday night for a restaurant. Don'tspoil the surprise, this is our version of a"Cash Mob" networking style!

You are invited to network with localbusiness men & women in a warmfriendly atmosphere and perhaps try outa new restaurant "on the square". Howexciting, see you there on the square!

We began at Sergio's Sarava, with 20people in attendance.

Great FOOD…Great NETWORKING...

Great FUN!!!
