I n s p i r a t i o n s

For my book prokect I chose a variety of different inspira-tional techniques methods and styles of how graffiti could be portrayed. I looked up at any existing graffiti related fron covers like th eone on the left. And based my experi-mentations similar to the features didsplated in the ‘Graf-fiti Moon’ book. Besides this book I looked at Maclaim’s stenciling for typography techniques. I used the laser cutter to cut out my typography text to give it that sharp clean smooth bold look. I started playing around with the pre-sentation level of my background and the details I would emerge on the front cover. I used rice to scatter across the page as a spray paint effect. Moreover, I started to overlap different pieces of newspapaer to bring abit of colour and pattern on my project giving it that mosaic touch. For my final outcome I ensured that the corners were neat and the front cover was lean and gave the impression of an arty farty street look.
