As we started the session Ms Anubha transported us to a magical land called the planet

Zaford. She said that it is 800 light years away from planet Earth. She told us interesting

stories about Zafordians who had special magical powers. A little girl called Ritika

belonged to a respectable family. But she did not possess any power.

The friends poked fun of her and always locked her in a cupboard. One fine day as she

was locked in the cupboard, a wicked wizard kidnapped her family and friends. Sherealized that she was all alone and decided to face the evil wizard. In turn, she figured out

her power and killed the villain and rescued everybody in his captivity.

We learnt a valuable lesson from this story that everyone is special. No one is extra-

    ordinary.

At the end of the session the guests asked us to write down a special quality about

ourselves. We were thrilled to know each others answers. Indeed, we realized how

unique we all are! It was truly an entertaining yet educative show.

We were all seated with curiosity and excitement as Ms Anubha asked us to repeat the

magical words Pippiti, Poppiti, Po. And Lo! We were on an amazing planet calledZaford, 800 light years away from planet Earth. The story of the little girl Ritika touched

our hearts. It tells us that we all have some special abilities in us. We only have to

discover and work on them. I Thank Ms Anubha and Ms Sonia in helping us realize this

fact in an entertaining way. I would look forward to such wonderful and exciting events.

The Play about Ritika was very entertaining and packed with imagination. What I liked

about Ritikas character was her spirit to face the worst situation even without powers, although she lived amongst highly powerful people. The characters portrayed by Ms

Anubha and Sonia were very convincing and impressive. I enjoyed it very much.

The story that I liked the most was about a small girl Ritika, who had no special powers.

But one day she overcame her fears and faced her enemies bravely. Thus, victory was at

her feet and she was everybodys Little Star. I especially liked the voice modulation and

    emotions in the skits.

The story taught us that we all have a hidden power, a sleeping talent within us. We just

have to try and realize it and give it our best.

The first skit was about a physician who treated a king. After treating the kings illness

the physician expected to be rewarded handsomely. As he did not receive anything at the

palace he was disappointed and started having unpleasant and negative thoughts about the

king. On reaching home the same thoughts turned pleasant and positive as he saw loads

of gifts and rewards. We learnt that we should not be materialistic and should help others

without seeking any returns. In the second skit a group of friends tell a girl never to interact with black men. One day

she encounters a few black men on her way and ignores them deliberately. Much later she

learns that the black men were famous musicians. She realizes that by blindly following

the advice of her friends she has mocked herself and missed a great opportunity to

communicate with them. Thus, we should all use words of advice judiciously and never

    form opinions on baseless assumptions.

In the end an exercise was conducted to write good qualities about a person you dislike

the most. It was like finding diamonds in a coal mine. Every coin has two sides. But we

should always focus on the positive aspects. History has shown us that hatred leads us to

no where. I left the workshop with good memories and as a better human being.

Every year during the book exhibition the school treats us with delightful workshops.

This year was no different. The activity by Amar Chitra Katha was filled with great

drama and voice modulation. The experts added a lot of humour and the language was

crisp. The session was very interactive and towards the end, all of us were asked to make

a list of good qualities of a person we dislike. This helped us concentrate on the good

qualities of a person and avoid hatred. The session was overflowing with excitement and

    was highly refreshing.

    A scintillating show-

The performance of the guests from Amar Chitra Katha was a thrilling experience.

The acting and presentation skills caught our attention instantly. Both the skits conveyed

the message- Do not jump to conclusions through various emotions like fear, humour,

dejection, happiness, sorrow. The plots entertained the audience by effectively conveying

    the values to us.

I enjoyed the acting and the coordination. Also, the best part was as activity at the end of

the session. It was about writing 10 good points about the person you do not like. It was a

great activity to overcome negative feelings towards others . Hatred is dangerous to unity

and humanity. With hatred there would be no peace. To err is humane; to forgive is

divine. Let us all strive to make this world a peaceful place.
