Madinah Book 1 revision guideChapter fourteen
The plural: Continued...
This chapter continues with the ‘plural’ theme, but this time
focusing on the ‘pronoun’; both in noun and verb form. For
example: (فـعل - فـعلوا | أنا - نحن).
The word أي (which) is always used as a (مضاف), hence it will have
a grammatical affect the noun that follows it i.e that of جر.
We have now learnt that all non-Arabic proper nouns are diptotes
-except for those who are triliteral and their penulti ,(الممنوع من الصرف)
mate letter is quiescent and masculine. For example:
نوح ولوط وجرج وخان
