MINUTES August 18, 2018

Called to Order at 1:05 PM at the Melbourne Library by Vice President Reggie Perdue, DC.

Attendance: 40

APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES of July 21, 2018. Motion made, seconded and passed.

TREASURER’S REPORT: by Cossette Kelley, attached to filed minutes.

UPCOMINING EVENTS

August 18th Florida Bonsai Day Vero Beach

September 8th-9th National Bonsai Meeting Rochester NY

October 13th Show at Kannapolis NC

November 10th Multi Club Auction and BBQ at F. Burton State

Park on 520.

December 31st New Years Eve Party at the home of Ben Agresta in

Orlando

OLD BUSINESS:

Bonsai at the Zoo Show was again a definite success. 3 demos

and a children’s workshop with 5 children. Need for volunteers

to maintain the exhibit.

NEW BUSINESS:

Rodney Clemens will be our guest artist on Friday September 28th

at the Advent Lutheran Church in Suntree.

A Thank You note was received from the Melbourne Library for

our gift of $250 and a number of Bonsai books.

Food and Drink was provided today by Gail Filier and Rob

Kempinski. Next month Food and drink by Bill Crabtree

and Bruce Hartman.

September 21st Meeting ; Green Island Ficus repotting and styling.

October 19th : Trip to Heathcote (Ft Pierce) Festival

SHOW AND TELL: Buttonwood 6, Premna 1, Cypress 1,

Florida Privet 1, Chinese Elm 1
