Featuring a soft and contemporary design, the Bomba table brings an elegant touch to spaces it occupies. Made with solid American oak, the tabletop - available in round, square or rectangular forms - is strong and durable. Designed by Australian Ivan Woods, the Bomba tables are new additions to the Bomba sofa system that has been launched earlier this year.

Designed for commercial and residential environments, the Bomba table compliments living areas, hotel lobbies and community spaces in the workplace. The generous tabletop sits upon distinctive tapered legs in timber or aluminium to create a soft, contemporary profile. A hardwood, medium grain material, the American Oak stains well in a variety of washes and paints available in the Schiavello ColourLab Palette.

Named after a Latin American musical style where the dancer’s movements dictate the beat of the drums, Bomba seating is similarly led by the user’s requirements. The various seating arrangements are available with or without backrest and armrest, and can be adapted to include integrated side tables finished in American Oak. Versatile in nature, the sofa system includes 24 configurations with in-built tables matched according to stand- alone, corner and linear configurations.

“Bomba is the name of a South American musical style where

the dancers movement dictate the drum beat. Bomba seating is

similarly led by the users requirements, not by a single, fixed

form,” says designer Ivan Woods.

Bomba Sofa is part of a system that includes side tables embedded into the combinations as well as stand-alone tables. These elements can be harmoniously integrated to complement different arrangements and environments. The Bomba stand-alone tables carries the soft geometric shape of the Sofa, featuring an American oak top and polished aluminium or timber legs.

Schiavello and Ivan Woods have a long history. With a strong architectural sensibility and carefully considered geometry, Ivan Woods enriches his design’s emotional qualities in the fine detailing. The combination of individual and robust personalities in his designs has a unique outcome that has lent his products to a diverse range of scenarios.

Woods grew up in Australia and studied interior architecture in Perth. Designing interiors and products for over 30 years, Woods has created work for the Langham hotel and Marriot hotel and on projects internationally spanning the UK, US, Germany and Italy.
