Advisory Issued Thursday, September 11, 2014 DRINKING WATER ADVISORY Please be advised that the service area for the Orange Park South Water Treatment Plant was placed under a Precautionary Boil Water Advisory on Thursday, September 11, 2014. The CCUA will notify the media and update our website when the FDEP lifts the “Drinking Water Advisory”. The advisory will remain in effect until the Clay County Utility Authority conducts a bacteriological survey of your public drinking water supply. Two consecutive days of satisfactory bacteriological samples are required before this advisory can be lifted. We expect to obtain the initial results on Saturday, September 13, 2014 after 3:00pm. - IMPORTANT - As an extra level of care following such an interruption, the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) requires Clay County Utility Authority to notify you that you will be under a Drinking Water Advisory . As a precautionary measure and until further notice, you are advised that water used for human consumption (drinking and food preparation) must be BOILED for at least three (3) minutes.
