Spring has finally sprung and the sun is shining down on us here at Boho Bride boutique!

We’ve been so busy last month, with lots of lovely brides to be trying on our gorgeous gowns. I don’t know what’s going on but the garden centre has been full of chocolate recently (mmmmm theres small ones, large ones, chocolate rabbits, chocolate lollies, chocky everywhere mmmmm ) but I’m not allowed any! Can you believe it?

I did manage to get a quick nuzzle into a pile of tasty mini eggs before her ladyship pulled me out! We had to go and look at the daffodils instead! I was not amused!

Anyway my lovelies we will soon be releasing our online shop. Just think you can be sat at home eating as much chocolate as you like and still be able to browse and buy our fabulous shoes & accessories without stepping foot out of the door! Now that’s got to be worth a look!

Stay tuned its on its way!

Until next time my lovelies x

FROM JIMMY CHOOTO CELEBRITY WEDDINGS

A. I was obsessed with shoes from a very early age my first pair of shoes I made where Scholl sandals for a school project I made them from paper and cardboard.

Q. How did you get into designing shoes?

A. I never had a job. I finished my de-gree in 1987. I Did work placements with Emma Hope and Jimmy Choo where I learnt a lot about the fashion shoe in-dustry then I got a place on an enterprise course, running your own fashion busi-ness. I then got an enterprise grant to help graduates set up their own business.

I rented a studio in Clarkenwell Street London and started making fashion shoes to begin with. Then the editor of You and Your wedding magazine spotted some of my designs and asked me to make a pair of bridal shoes for her wedding.

They featured in the next issue of the magazine which came out over the weekend and when I got to my stu-dio on Monday morning my answer phone machine was bleeping away and said it was full!!! I had so many enquir-ies from brides about making shoes for them I never really looked back.

Q. What was your first job?

A. The 1950’s, Audrey Hepburn and Dior have always given me inspiration!

Q. Who have you been influenced by?

A. Not really I am always interested to see what the bridal wear designers introduce into their collections I love going to Lon-don Fashion week to see what is going to be on trend the following year and all the new designers coming into the industry.

Obviously I am also interested to see what the mayor fashion houses are show-casing for their new collections too.

Q. Do you find it difficult to keep coming up with fresh designs??

A. Eleanor Tomlinson, she plays De-melza in the new Poldark series she is so elegant and has very long legs per-fect for showing off a pair of my shoes.

Q. Who would you most like to design a pair of shoes for right now?

A. I think a shoes reflects someone’s per-sonality so choose a shoe that does that. Just because the shoes are hidden under your dress most of the time that doesn’t mean you should go for a bland board-ing. A bright pop of colour is always fun. Sand paper the bottom of the sloes before you wear them they are less likely to slip and where them around the house if you can to help them to stretch a little bit. All our shoes at rainbow club have been es-pecially designed to make them as com-fortable as possible with padded insides.

Q. What are your top tips when choosing wedding shoes??

A. I love my job and can’t see myself anywhere else than Rainbow Club. I am free to be creative and I especially love that I can create something for a bride that she will feel amazing in and that doesn’t stop at the shoes, I am also very involved with designing headpieces, veils and oth-er bridal accessories for Rainbow Club.

Q. Where do you see yourself in the future?

A. Shoes, shoes and more shoes, shoes throughout history the silks, lace and beads that embellished them.

Q. What are your top tips when choosing wedding shoes??

A. Vintage isn’t going away any time soon, lace, colour, sparkle and texture are all very influential.

Q. Where do you see the next big trend in shoes?

A. Satins, floral soft muted colours what I call ‘dirty pastel ‘colours are so on trend at the moment especially blush nude colours and floral. Without giving too much away!!! You heard it here first!

Q. What is the new Rainbow Club collec-tions about?

A. I love my job and can’t see myself anywhere else than Rainbow Club. Elegant simplicity has been at the heart of Emma Hunt London

for seventeen years. Timelessly beautiful dresses are proudly

made by hand in Britain for the discerning bride who appreciates

quality and craftsmanship.

For the 2016 collection, Emma was inspired by the romance of

Czech artist Alphonse Much’s Art Nouveau illustrations along

with the ethereal prettiness of a Midsummer Night’s Dream,

while references to the 1930s jazz club decadence of the film, The

Cotton Club, nod to a faded age of glamour.

Delicately flowing frocks are for those who favour a soft femi-

ninity, with demure scooped backs and gently cascading frills the

perfect understated highlights. Lightly sculpted silhouettes in silk

satin and chiffon feature the prettiest antique-style lace overlays,

while a few slinkier shapes with minimal detailing are simplicity

at its best.

Sleeves come in graceful fluted shapes and longer sheer styles,

making shoulders and wrists a becoming way to show a little

skin. Strapless and shoestring strap styles also return to be com-

bined with a selection of lace and tulle jackets so brides can find

a truly individual look.
