The McDonnell Douglas DC-9-87 VIP Cabin Management System (CMS)/ In Flight Entertainment System (IFE) consists of four zones: Forward Cabin & Stateroom, VIP Lounge, Guest Cabin Seating, and Premium Coach Seating/ Staff Galley.

The system consists of five DVD players, four channels of aux. audio, moving map computer and cockpit camera. All four zones have independent access to the audio and video source equipment.

The Stateroom, VIP Lounge, and OEM Seating controllers have full control of audio, video, and lighting. Each seat has jacks for wired headset and 115 Volts, 60 Hertz outlets rated at 200 Watts each, Ground Fault Circuit Interrupt (GFCI) protected.

The aircraft is equipped with a Satellite Telephone System with

three wireless handsets, one wired handset, wireless WiFi and high speed data (internet) access (332 KB/sec).

The Stateroom has its own 20 bulkhead video monitor located on the storage closet wall. The Stateroom is also equipped with its own audio system, consisting of four ceiling mounted speakers and two floor level sub woofers. The Stateroom is equipped with an independent DVD player, that is not be accessible by the IFE in the other sections of the aircraft. The Stateroom also has a wireless satellite telephone handset for in-flight communications. There are two AC outlets, rated at 200 Watts, one located at the night stand, and one located in the lower sidewall beside the divan. All outlets are GFCI protected through out the aircraft. The State-room Lavatory is also equipped with an AC outlet, GFCI protected and rated at 1750 Watts.

The Conference Seating area has an audio system consisting of four speakers and two sub woofers. There is one 31 monitor located in the window panel above the right hand sidewall table. Seats 2A, 2E, 4A, 4E, and 5B have control of the video for the 31 monitor. Seat 5B is the VIP seat and has the following; wired satellite phone handset, 115VAC, 60HZ outlet, wired LAN, aux. audio input jack (for IPOD or Laptop, VGA input connector and VIP controller for VIP lounge lighting, audio control and video control. There are two AC outlets, rated at 200 Watts, located at the divan, two located at the right hand seats in the lower sidewall, and two at the work station.

The Guest Cabin Seating area has nine 10.4 displays on plug-in arms for each seating

location. Each seat has a controller for lighting, audio and video control and a headset jack. Each seat location also has AC outlets rated at 200 Watts each, GFCI protected.

The Premium Coach Seating area has two bulkhead 24 monitors located on the aft side of the dividers located at the fwd of the Premium Coach Seating section. The monitors have a single control for the video, located in the rear Galley. Each seat row has an AC outlet, rated at 200 Watts, mounted in the lower sidewalls. Each controller has lighting, audio source select, volume up/down and a headphone jack.
