Once upon a time, there was a family of bunnies. There was one young bunny named Bobby, and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bunny.

One night when the family was sitting down to a meal of roasted carrots and carrot juice. Bobby went to bite into his carrot and felt his tooth wobble.“What was that?” said Bobby.

What was that?

“I’m sure it was nothing son,” said Mrs. Bunny. So Bobby went back to eating. He took another bite, and this time one of his teeth fell out. Since his mom had told him it was nothing, he decided not to tell her.

Even though his parents would have probably told him not to worry about it, Bobby was very frightened that he was loosing parts of his body. First his teeth fell out, then what? He could loose an arm or a leg!

Bobby finished his dinner and rushed to his room. Once he was there, he thought about a way he could reattach his tooth.

First, he tried to tie the tooth to a string and tie the string to his head. The problem was, the string was not very comfortable.

Next, he tried to tape the tooth back in his mouth. This worked for a second, but then the tape lost its stickiness and the tooth fell out once again.

Lastly, he tried to use glue to get the tooth to stay in his mouth. Although the taste was not very good, it was worth it knowing that he would not fall apart.

Then his dad came in and told him it was time for bed. Bobby hopped into his bed and pulled up the covers.

When he was laying down his head, he hit his tooth against the side of his pillow and the tooth fell onto the floor.

He didn’t want to loose it or have his parents find it, so he hid his tooth underneath his pillow.

Then he drifted to sleep and dreamed of carrots and open fields where he could hop around all he wanted to.

The next morning Bobby woke up and remembered his tooth. He lifted up his pillow to find money instead of his tooth. “Oh no!” thought Bobby. “Someone is trying to buy parts of me until they have all of me. What am I going to do?”

He decided to tell his parents about this so he called them into his room. After explaining the story to them, his parents asked him to sit down.

“You’re not falling apart Bobby,” said Mr. Bunny. “When you get older, your baby teeth fall out and then new grown-up teeth come in. “But what happened to my baby tooth?” asked Bobby.

You’re not falling apart,

Bobby

“The tooth fairy came during the night and took your tooth and left you money,” said Mrs. Bunny.

The tooth fairy came during the night and

took your tooth and left you

money

Each time you loose and tooth,

you can put it under your pillow and the tooth fairy will come

and give you money for it.

“Okay,” said Bobby. Then the Bunny family went downstairs and had a big breakfast of carrot pancakes and hot carrot cider.

Bobby was no longer worried about loosing his teeth. Now he was kind of excited and was wondering when he would loose his next tooth and the tooth fairy would come again.
