COMMODORE – February 2010 Our Club burgee and American flag are again flying over our club. I want to thank Ted McCormack, Jim Wilson and Scott Gorton for the work they did. Ted & Jim did the splicing on the lanyard while Scott brought down the equipment to install it. These members are all life members who don't need work hours, but they stepped up to the plate to help the club. They should be an inspiration to all of us to do what we can to make Miamogue Yacht Club the best club in the area.
Too all members please sign-up to get your work hours in. There are books behind the bar to sign up for different jobs. Also, posted on the secretary's board are the names and phone numbers of each officer and board member. If you want to get your work hours in, please call one of us. Right now we need carpenters to rebuild our front porch, much of the railing is rotted out. If you can help us to take care of this please call me or Rear Commodore John Gaglione Jr. We are also looking for someone to build a roof over our gas tank in the yard. We don't want your money at the end of the year for not performing your work hours. We need your help in making MYC the club it can be.

Please welcome new members Wayne Hobbson, Dave Jubenville, Steven Lako and Pierre Champagne. There will be reciprocal cards for the Yacht Club of America available at the GB meetings or ask me. SPECIAL NOTICE: A motion was made and passed by the BOG at the January 4, 2010 meeting "to raise the work hour fee form $30 per hour to $50 per hour effective this year."

Hello Miamoguers, If we missed thanking anyone for donations or helping the Auxiliary, our apologies. Thank you to our two singing Elves Christine & Amanda Santa couldn't have done it without you both. We have several events coming up. We have a Raffle going up in February.Fish Fry will be on March 12th, Friday - look for flyer and sign up at bar.Children's Easter Party will be on March 27th- sign up at bar also. We will be also having another Tag Sale and of course, Ladies Night Out coming April & May. We are welcoming into our Auxiliary two new members: Beverly Appleby & Cindi DeTuzzi. Thank you for joining our great group of Volunteers. We will have another great year. Anyone interested in joining our group, Our meetings will be the 1st Monday of every month starting at 6 pm. From the House Chairman February 2010 The house is looking for members who want to get their work hours in for the year. We want to open the kitchen for Breakfast Saturday and Sunday. We also would like to have lunch on Saturday. We are looking to have a number of crews available so that you do not have to work every day, every weekend.
