urban Altitude is a brand new aerial assault course in Colne. The outdoor adventure

playground, which is a massive 42ft high, is the first of its kind in the country with its town centre location.

It features a 60metre zip-wire, climbing wall, high and low rope courses, Leap of Faith, Power-fan and Jacob’s Ladder, built around a main activity tower.

You have to make your way from station to station using a series of aerial ropes and ‘stepping stones’, with qualified instructors assisting you through the ‘journey’.

A fleet of completely new 2012-registered Mercedes Benz funeral cars – two limousines and a hearse – add that stately touch of dignity to any funeral.

The Alderson and Horan service is fully comprehensive, including arranging the date, time and place of the funeral, clergy, order of service, flowers, catering, press notices, headstones, choice of

coffin, hospital liaison, singers or musicians if required, official forms, booking the cemetery or crematorium and arranging for a family vault or plot.

Funerals can also be pre-paid, either in a single payment or installments, through the insurance-backed Golden Charter scheme which fixes the funeral director’s fee.

established in 2003 as a hobby, The Balloon & Party Station is fast becoming one

of Lancashire’s leading balloon decorating companies.

We are a family run company with an eye for detail and perfection. Our mission is to provide every customer with a first class product at the best price and a service that is second to none.

2005 saw us become a member of the Qualatex Balloon Network (QBN®), a professional organisation with about 5000 members worldwide, dedicated to the pursuit of excellence in balloon decor and bouquets. As QBN members, businesses commit to sound and honourable business practices, continuing education, and the belief that balloons create atmosphere and communicate emotion in a uniquely effective way. This has required us to attend training courses and pass exams set by the manufacturer of our core product.

In July 2006, Nicola passed her final exam & panel interview to become Burnley and Pendle’s only Certified Balloon Artist, the highest level of accreditation and

the only worldwide recognised qualification in balloon artistry.

In July 2007 saw us open our shop Balloons by Design & Funfair hire on Trafalgar Street Burnley. With all our staff trained to CBA standard, we specialise in extravagant decorations, including special effects such as exploding balloons and confetti cannons, whilst taking care to combine these effects with simple, but stunning centrepieces, arches, pillars, sculptures and canopies. We can even supply Bouncy Castle, Slides, Children’s Rides and the ultimate Rodeo Bull for that special occasion.

We are based in Burnley and are able to supply and decorate to a wide area in Lancashire, and the North West of England. We have experience in decorating all venues from the smallest party to large corporate events.

always welcoming and aims to serve the best quality fish and chips. It was opened on the 13th of January 2009 by Lee and a small team of friendly staff.

In 2010 it won New Business of the year in the Pendle Business Awards. In 2011 it beat off competition from Devon and Dorset and Shetland to be crowned Best Newcomer 2011 in the Seafish National Fish and Chip Awards.

The shop has gained more awards since in 2012 it won a pride of Nelson award for service with a smile and the Burnley and Pendle review’s chippy of the year for 2013. Recently it has just been awarded the prestigious NFFF Quality Award.
