REPUBLIC OF THE PHILIPPINES PROFESSIONAL REGULATION COMMISSION THREE NEW BOARD MEMBERS ASSUME OFFICE The Board of Accountancy (BoA) has now three new Members. Hon. Gloria T. Baysa took her oath of office last May 8, while Hon. Samuel B.Padilla and Hon. Concordio S. Quisaot took their oath last May 13 in the Professional Regulatory Commission office in Sampaloc. PRC Chairman Florentino Doble and Commissioner Yolanda Reyes administered their oath. Witnessing the event were BoA Chairman Joel Tan-Torres and other guests from the various accountancy sectors. The heads and representative from the various accountancy organizations (PICPA, nCPAE, ACPACI, ACPAPP, nFJPIA, ASAPP) , the accounting councils (FRSB and AASB, BoA CHED) and the President of the Asian Federation Association attended the event. With the appointment of the three new members, the BoA has now a 6 members, including the chairman. There is one more vacancy in the BoA. "With the increase in the number of our Board with the coming in of three brilliant accountants, our profession can expect more and more programs that will enhance our profession," Chairman Tan- Torres remarked.
