BMT Consultants India is a part of the UK based BMT Group, an international design, engineering and risk management consultancy working in the defense, energy and environment and maritime transport sectors.

BMT Consultants India was formed in 2006 and has completed over 300 projects. It operates out ofthreeofficesinAhmedabad,MumbaiandChennai.

Marine infrastructure facilities need to be designed to withstand the environmental forces. In addition, with increased awareness and tighter environmental controls, it is necessary to ensure that coastal projects do not in any way cause adverse impacts to the environment. BMT Consultants India has extensive experience of the causes and effects of coastal processes. Further, this experience is backed up by strong international experience together with industry leading offshore modelling packages such as TUFLOW and TUFLOW FV. BMT Consultants India extensively use software packages such as SWAN, DELFT3D and BOUSS2D. A local or combined local and international team can be provided to suit the needs of individual assignments.

About us

BMT Consultants India has beenoperatinginthefieldofCoastal Environment since inception. Our services have includedwavemodelling,flowcirculation, sedimentation modelling as well as shoreline management and environmental impact analysis.

Essentially we have the capability of handling all aspects of coastal environment study and the design of coastal defenses necessary for ports, jetties, harbours and other coastal infrastructure.

We also have the experience and capability to provide the necessary guidance to developers/ operators required to obtain Environmental Clearance for their projects in a smooth and unimpeded manner.

Further, BMT Consultants India has ready access to a large pool of international environmental specialists with a wide range of skills including management of marinefloraandfauna,diving, met- ocean data and effects, detailed weather forecasting and complex watercourse modelling.

We have over the years gained experience of a large number of major projects including major ports, beach protection,flowcirculationand sediment prediction for harbours, analysis of currents etc. Output from our models can be fed directly into the simulation models for ship navigation etc.
