BATRIK has developed a disposable channel brush that can beused for cleaning endoscopes for an entire day. You no longerneed to worry if your current reusable brush is cleaning effectively.After processing ten (10) endoscopes(1), simply discard the brush.

The unique structure of the Reusable DayBrushTM enables thefollowing:

Soft tip ensures easy manipulation within the channel with norisk of damage.The back-end is sealed and softened to prevent fluid fromgetting trapped inside the tube. The softening process alsoprevents damage if the cleaning brush is used in reverse.Can be steam sterilized.

The volume of bristles on the DayBrushTM is 20mm in length -almost double most other brushes. A large brush providesmore surface contact during the cleaning process.The BATRIK ReusableDayBrushTM has been tested to effectivelyclean up to 10 scopes(1).Significant per use savings when compared to re-usable ordisposable channel cleaning brushes.

(1) Discard after cleaning 10 scopes or sooner if any brush degradation is noticed.After ten applications the brush MAY have the appearance that it can still effectivelyclean, but we discourage prolonged use due to risk of cross contamination.

POLYPROPRYLENE is the industry standard as it is a low cost materialand offers greater flexibility.DELRIN is slightly more expensive, but due to its more rigid feeling, it iseasier to insert and manipulate. This in turn reduces time and laborwhich can offset the added cost. All BATRIK small diameter brushesare supplied only with DELRIN, otherwise they would be too fragile.

Suggested Cleaning Protocols include, soaking the bite block in your accepted cleaning/disinfecting solutions. rigid brushes from 5 to 20 mm in diameter. • No limit in length for Wire Brushes on flexible plastic sheaths,

flexible brushes from 2 to 5 mm in diameter.

ARCTM Wire Brushes are guaranteed to last longer than twistedwire and preserve the integrity of your valuable instruments.

BRUSH SELECTION SYSTEMUse these simple steps in determining which wire brush will bestserve your instrument cleaning needs.

PART 1: INSTRUMENT SPECIFICATIONSA. What is the maximum length of the instrument(s) to be cleaned?

Now add at least 2" (or 5 cm) to that length so you have anadequate length to work with.

B. What is the inner diameter of the instrument?Now add at most 1/8" (or 3mm) to determine the diameter ofthe bristle to ensure effective cleaning. The bristle diameterhas to slightly exceed the inner tube diameter. Bristles that aretoo large will bend too much and not clean effectively.

PART 2: BRUSH SELECTIONNow that you have the basic information for your required brush,simply find the section in our catalogue that best corresponds tothe overall length required as determined in Part A. Now select thebrush that best corresponds to the diameter determined in Part B.

As a rule, if your present brush is 8" (20.32 cm) in length and weonly offer 10" (25.40 cm) length with your required diameter, thatis entirely acceptable.

In many cases, the BATRIK Brush will have more bristles on thebrush. As an example, many 5 mm (0.19”) diameter brushes areonly 1" (2.5 cm) in length. At BATRIK, we have strived to providethe greatest amount of bristles to ensure very effective cleaning.
