● People often just referred to him as “The Mud” ● Is #17 on the Rolling stones top 100 artists of all time ● Got his name from playing in his local creek as a boy ● Is famous for helping create the Chicago blues and the

Mississippi Delta blues with the use of the electric guitar.

Muddy waters was one of the most outstanding artist from his time and had one of the greatests influences on the incorporation of electric guitar in blues and had a major impact the post-world war 2 electric blues scene
