When you switch on your computerand log in, BlueBayCT starts upautomatically and runs on yourWindows Taskbar as an icon.


IntroductionBlueBayCT runs silently in the background and works with the data in your clinical system. The BlueBayCT icon is also the main method of Interaction with the software and changes depending on whether or not you have a patient record open.

Dealing with Popup AlertsBlueBayCT’s popup alerts are designed to provide you with an up-to-date list of missing clinical indicators at the point of consultation with the patient.



BlueBayCT’s popup alerts categorise the missing data for easy navigation. Use the toolbar buttons at the side of the window to work with the missing data.

You can record the missing data using BlueBayCT’s intuitive data entry tools. For example, to record a blood pressure measurement…

Using & Customising TemplatesAs well as popup alerts, BlueBayCT has a complete set of data entry templates for your QOF & Enhanced Services. These templates are useful for running clinics or for recording data in a more structured way.


Using & Customising TemplatesAll the templates can be accessed through the BlueBayCT icon’s menus, but only when you have a patient record open in your clinical system.

The Practice Reports screen provides all the necessary management tools for QOF, Enhanced Services and User-Defined Rules. Such as…

You may want to record data for the patients in your lists.



Or you might want to generate a mail-merge list for recalls.


Choose the Merge option on

the menu


Practice Reporting ToolsBlueBayCT’s mail-merge tools are designed to make the call/recall process as efficient as possible.

Pick the required

letter template

Click the mail-

merge button



The letter will open in Microsoft Word for you to format and print. BlueBayCT will also track the number of letters sent to patients.
