Guy Stuart Ritchie is a British director whose

films include ‘Lock, Stock and Two Smoking

Barrels’ and ‘Sherlock Holmes.’ He was

married to Madonna for eight years.

Born on September 10, 1968, in

Hertfordshire, England, director Guy

Ritchie was lauded for his debut feature

film, the crime caper Lock, Stock and Two

Smoking Barrels (1998). He stepped further

into the spotlight by marrying pop star

Madonna; the marriage lasted from 2000 to

2008. Ritchie’s career hit a low point with

Swept Away (2002), but he found success

again when he directed Sherlock Holmes

(2009) and its 2011 sequel, with a remake of

The Man From U.N.C.L.E. (2015) to follow.

Ritchie’s career took off once more with his

film adaptation of Sherlock Holmes (2009), as

well as its sequel Sherlock Holmes: A Game

of Shadows (2011). Both films, starring Robert

Downey Jr. and Jude Law, were massive suc-

cesses at the box office, earning more than

$1 billion combined worldwide.

In the fall of 2013, Ritchie began filming a big

screen adaptation of the spy TV series The

very much alive -- has a multi-million dollar prize fall into his hands.

Director: Guy RitchieWriter: Guy RitchieStars: Gerard Butler, Tom Wilkinson, Idris Elba According to director Guy Ritchie, this is the first in a trilogy. Before the credits, there is a title card that reads “The Wild Bunch will return in The Real RockNRolla”, hinting that this will be the title of the next installment.

Christopher Nolan said that it was his perfor-mance in this film that convinced him to cast Tom Hardy in Inception (2010) and The Dark Knight Rises (2012).

Man from U.N.C.L.E., featuring Henry Cavill

and Armie Hammer. The film is slated for a

mid-August 2015 release.

After serious considerations, these five Guy

Ritchie’s films were selected. The choice

was based on style, time period, location

and plot. The films selected were the only

ones that were shot mainly in London, with a

cockney language style, a plot of some sort

of criminal sceme, and at the time of roughly

the 1990s or early 2000s.

What is the story behind all five of the films? What is the idea that holds the stories together and leads the way of all the design for the festival?

Rookie thugs don’t realize they are pawns of a violent game until things get out of control. But the odds are always in their favor.

Gangsters are running for their lives from a rival gang in an east London backstreet where a string of chaotic events are accidentally set off.

It was inspired by the cockney language, a pun that in England is just a simple swear, but more literal in the U.S.

Based on Kurt Vonnegut’s work about “the shapes of stories“, this is how Guy Ritchie’s stories looks like.

The guys in his films usually find themselves in deep trouble at first, but they have a plan to get out. Just when they think they had it, everything goes south even more. In the process of trying to get out of the deeper trouble, they get involved with more people who seems to have no business in the mess, but actually has everything to do with it. Eventually, those guys in the beginning get out of trouble by reasons they don’t even know, which we can only blame chance.

The game is called “Coppers & Muggers”, it is all about mugging and chasing and running. When participants passing through the famouse streets, pubs and stores in the city, they can choose to mug them, or buy them. When a property is bought, the passer-bys can choose to pay the rent, or to mug it. But the result of the mugging depends on the tossing of dice by both parts. The game ends when one of the players get all the money on the table.
