Blood Pressure Cuffs/Accessories

MABIS® Single-Patient-Use Blood Pressure Cuffs were

designed to reduce the spread of infection through

cross-contamination. All cuffs are manufactured from a

soft, yet durable vinyl material which can be quickly

and easily wiped clean. The patient side has an extra

soft lining for improved patient comfort. All cuffs are

sized to meet the American Heart Association

recommendations and are indexed for an accurate and

comfortable fit. The quality hook and loop closures will

hold secure use after use. Standard luer and universal

connectors allow MABIS Single-Patient-Use Blood

Pressure Cuffs to be adapted to a wide range of

manual and automatic blood pressure apparatuses.

All cuffs have dual-seam construction and are

inspected and tested to be leak-free for consistent

and reliable performance. MABIS Single-Patient-Use

Blood Pressure Cuffs are available in bright white in

six adult/pediatric sizes and five neonatal sizes in

either double or single-tube configuration. Yellow

colored cuffs are available with two-tubes in the

popular adult, small adult and large adult sizes for

infection control and isolation applications.

Blood Pressure Cuffs/AccessoriesCUFF-GUARD

We manufacture disposable, protective covers for blood pressure cuffs. We make 6

standard sizes and will custom make any size needed. The covers we make would prevent

cross contamination due to blood, chemical or biological agents. One single blood pressure

cuff can cross contaminated multiple patients. When you take off your gloves the cuff can

now contaminate you. Hepatitis B can remain virulent for up to 2 weeks in dried blood.

SARS has shown that many diseases can be spread by contact. The low cost and ease of

use of the Cuff-Guard makes it a necessity when treating multiple patients.

What is Cuff-Guard®?

Cuff-Guard® is a protective cover made specifically as an effective, low cost solution to blood pressure cuff contamination. Each Cuff-Guard® is

made from a soft, white spun plastic with an inner impervious plastic coating. This material made by Tyvek® provides a safe bacterial barrier and

is 100% latex free.

Should I use Cuff-Guard®?

Cuff-Guard® was designed to be easily used. It attaches to any cuff in less than 30 seconds and does not require any disassembly of your

apparatus. The white surface will show contamination but can easily be wiped clean. Cuff-Guard® is both strong and durable. The cost of this

effective product is about a ninth of what a normal disposable vinyl cuff costs.With the use of Cuff-Guard® one hospital reported a 50% reduction

in nosocomial infections. with the use of Cuff-Guard®.

How to use Cuff-Guard®?

Step 1: Place cover with velcro and label side up on a flat surface. Place blood pressure cuff inside the Cuff-Guard® cover

(like placing a letter into an envelope). The BP cuff tubing needs to exit on the RIGHT side.

Step 2: Remove the liner on the bottom edge of the cover to expose the two sided tape. Seal the cover over the cuff by pressing the top and

bottom edges together. The tape will seal around the existing cuff tubing.

Step 3: Place the artery here location in the appropriate position. Wrap the protected BP cuff around the arm and secure with the velcro tab.

ARM-GUARD

Wearing protective gloves is a necessity. If you are wearing a short

sleeved shirt, there is exposed skin of the arms that are not

protected. We make a clear - see through sleeve to protect this

exposed area from any blood, chemical or biological agent. The

sleeve has no gap at the wrist and is easy to use. Arm-Guard is

very low priced and used routinely by many large EMS units.

What is Arm-Guard®?

Arm-Guard is made from a clear soft plastic. This latex free sleeve

comfortably slides over the forearm. A glove is then pulled over the

hand to provide tight, leak-proof barrier against liquids such as

blood and water. The clear plastic allows the user to see their

watch. At the top of the sleeve there is an elastic band that keeps

Arm-Guard in place. This product is a practical example of low

cost insurance against infection.

TOURNIQUET COVER

Steps to Using the Tourniquet Cover:

1. Wrap area of limb where you will place the tourniquet with

webril or another soft material to prevent wrinkles in the skin.

2. Slide long sleeve over webril and center at place where

tourniquet is to be applied.

3. Apply tourniquet in usual fashion.

4. Fold one end of sleeve back over the tourniquet, then fold the

other end in the opposite direction.

5. Tubing will protrude out between the folds.

has a special mounting bracket that allows the unit to swivel

or to be removed completely, while providing a built-in cuff

storage area. The gauge is adjustable, so it can easily set to

zero with use of the mini screwdriver. Includes: 8’ coiled

deluxe air release valve, wall mounting fixture and hardware
