Townhall Overview

During the town hall in period 8, our candidates were asked hard and serious questions on economy, education and foreign policy. Nicolette and AJ plan on terminating ISIS by moving troops into the area to contain them. Nicolette says meeting with teachers, students, and parents more often will help parents get more involved in their children’s education. AJ says that he wants to create jobs by fracking and to stop outsourcing. Nicolette and AJ’s overall performance was lacking in explanation of their campaign ideas.

Yianni and Alex started off by explaining how they plan to cut Amtrak to help save money for more important things. Also, he explains how buying goods from other countries allows Americans to get it for a lower price, and still gain profit. As for education, they plan to decrease college tuition rates by giving out more scholarships. In terms of foreign policy, Yianni and Alex plan to destroy ISIS by cutting down the amount of communication they have with America. Yianni and Alex’s overall performance was somewhat weak and they weren’t really prepared.

When asked what Jeff plans on cutting to help the economy, he responded with welfare so people would "get off their asses and find jobs." Danielle added that cutting welfare will be a gradual removal. Jeff plans to motivate kids to succeed to decrease the high school dropout rate. Danielle plans to motivate parents to encourage education.Overall Jeff and Danielle’s performance went well because they were thorough with each topic that was thrown towards them. The candidates we endorse are Jeff and Danielle because they had a lot of details about of their ideas and how they would

handle each situation. Their campaign has proven to be most prepared and the most informed about things. Overall the candidates have done very great job with their campaigns and we wish them good luck!
