Feedback on Brainstorming Session conducted at Chennai on 16th March 2019 on the
topic - Specific Criteria For Accreditation of Medical Laboratories- NABL 112 (Issue 4)
About the Program
NABL documents are updated at regular intervals to keep pace with the latest Technical
developments and to synchronize with the International Standards. Recently the issue of
NABL 112 has been updated ( Issue No 4 dt 11th February 2019), which elaborates the
International Standard ISO 15189:2012 as applicable to Indian setting. The document has
been designed to make it user friendly for both NABL Assessors and Laboratories. The new
document comes into effect from 1st June 2019.
Value Added Corporate Services Pvt Ltd, a 28 year old Organisation jointly with Healthcare
Events, a Conference Management platform has facilitated an industry meet with the
support of Industry Partner - Hitech Diagnostics, a reputed Diagnostic Brand in South India.
The session was attended by 80 Lab Medicine professionals as well as Technologists to have
a brainstorming session on the New NABL 112 criteria document.
The session was well appreciated by the participants.

Conclusion:
The session was well appreciated by the participants and a request was placed by all of them
to the Industry partners to conduct a detailed session over 2 days to discuss the requirements
in detail.
The organisers have also received requests from the participants to roll out few more
sessions on the same topic.
The industry players led by Diagnostic Labs which are NABL Accredited have agreed to
partner such engagements in future.
