I) Introduction This document is the User Guide for Blog Extension. It describes the extension
functionality and provides some tips for a quick start.
Blog Extension for Magento 2 is SIMPLE and EASY-TO-CONFIGURE. No more wasting
time on installing third-party extensions. Anyone can do the installation and configure blog
pages, no code needed.

II) Configuration From the backend, navigate Stores > Configuration or Content > Settings. The interface will look like below:

1. General Settings Try setting the configuration like this
Current Version : 1.0.0 Enable Blog : Turn on your blog by this field. Date Format: Set the format of time. There are 12 values for you to select.
Show in Top Links : Display the blog link on top by choosing Yes. Main Color : Set your favourite color with the color palette.

2. Blog Latest Page This tab lets you configure the lates page of the blog. Set the Title for the page. Meta Title, Meta Keywords and Meta Description are fields relating to SEO. To enhance your SEO, set these rationally. Try the following configuration:

Page Layout : This field lets you configure the whole page layout. Let's see the differences between 4 layouts supported. - 1 column:

Display Sharing Box and Author Box by choosing Yes.
Then set the following fields like below:

4. Category Page Post Per Page : Set the maximum blogs to be displayed. List Layout : Decide the layout by choosing from the list of 4 values: - List - Fixed Thumbnail - List - Full Thumbnail - Grid - Masonry Please look at the below setting and its result on the storefront:

5. Tag Page Configure Tag Page like this and see the result:
6. Author Page Set the Author Page appearance rationally to present helpful information.

7. Archive Page Configure Archive Page generally and see its layout in the front:
8. Search Page Set the Search Page Layout. Try looking for “parallax" then hit "enter" to see the Search Page in real site.

11. Permalink Settings This tab lets you configure the link appearance. It helps create internal blog links with friendly names that are good for SEO. The tab includes many fields like Blog, Category, Archive, Tag, Author and Search Route setting. Here below is an example for Blog & Category Link Setting:

12. RSS Feed This function helps your blog visitors get early notifications of your Latest Posts through a common extension of Chrome (RSS Feed).
13. Post Listing This tab helps display information of each post like: Author, Date, Categories, Comments & Views. For example, choose Yes for all fields in the backend to display all the information.

14. Category Top Navigation Set your blog links in navigation menu using this tab.

III) Post 3.1 Post Grid Navigate Content > Posts or Posts > Manage Posts:
From left to right, you get the following functions:

(1) Actions: The dropdown box that lets you delete the selected posts. (2) Filters : Lets you filter the posts by the following criteria:
(3) Per Page: Set the number of posts to be displayed per page. (4) Default View : Set the view status. (5) Columns: Select columns to display in the grid.
(6) Navigation Buttons : Move to the next/ previous page (7) Select : Make selection/ deselection (8) Tick box : Tick on the desired posts to select (9) Title Column: Click on the anchor link to access Edit Post interface

3.2 Manage Posts Navigate Content > Manage Posts and come to Post Grid interface. Tick on the first column, hit Action > Delete to delete desired posts.
Click on the Title to go on the Editing interface
(1) Back button drive you to previous page (2) Remove the post by Delete button (3) View Post button lets you see how it looks in storefront.

3.3 Add New Post Navigate Post > Add New Post or simply hit the orange Add New Post button on the top right corner. The action leads you to the following interface:

3.3.1 General Information

3.3.2 Content
Create the content of the post using this tab. The interface is the same default Magento content section. Show/Hide Editor button lets edit the content visually (WYSIWYG) or by code. Configure the font Size , Style (Bold, Italic, Underline) easily. Align the content to the Left, Right or Center. Make lists with Bullet or Numbered formats. Attach Links to the text. Add Table or Special Character. Insert Image from your device; Insert Magento Widget and Variable at ease.

3.3.3 Display Settings
In this section, you can configure the following fields: - Publish Date - Featured Image (Choose from device) - Type (Image or Video) - Customer Groups - Featured: List the post as a featured post - Pin the post at the top - Allow Comment - Page Layout

3.3.4 Post in Websites
Decide where to display the post by choosing from the following values:

Enhance your SEO by entering the fields inside this tab. Make sure all of them meet the latest SEO standards.

3.3.6 Open Graph Metadata
“Open Graph protocol is a protocol which is used to integrate any web page into the social graph”. In other words, Open Graph Metadata defines the post look when you share it to social networks (Facebook , Twitter , Linkedin, Instagram , etc) Control Title , Description , Image and Type just by selecting from your device or entering the values.

3.3.7 Related Posts
This tab decides which posts to be displayed as Related Posts. Select from your existing blogs in the grid. To save time, you can search the Title by keywords.

3.3.8 Related Products
This tab lets you select products to be listed in the block Related Products. Search the Title of the product by keyword can help save more time.

IV) Categories 4.1 Add New Category Navigate Content > Categories then you can see the Category Grid as below.
To add a new category, navigate Categories > Add New Category or click on the orange Add New Category button on the top right.

4.1.1 Content
The content tab of Categories gets the same functions like the Post . To display your new category, Enable it using on-off button. Enter the Title (Required field) and select its Parent Category. Create the Category description using Content Tab The editor interface is the same editor in Post. Let's make some configurations and see the results:

4.1.2 Display Settings
This tab lets you set the List Layout, Position of Category created. Set the Page Layout that display your categories and decide whether to Include category in Menu or not.

4.1.5 Posts in Category
This tab lets you arrange posts into appropriate categories. Try this setting and see the result right away.

4.2 Manage Categories To delete the existing categories, in each category, hit Select > Delete. To edit, hit Select > Edit. The editing interface will look like this:

V) Tags 5.1 Tag Grid Navigate Content > Tags to see the following grid:
The functions and buttons in the grid are similar to other grids.

5.2 Manage Tags To delete, hit Select > Delete To Edit, hit Select > Edit , then you see this:

5.3 Add New Tag To add new tags, navigate Tags > Add New Tag or simply hit the orange Add New Tag button on the top right corner. The Add New Tag interface will look like this:
The Content and Search Engine Optimization tabs are similar to other Add New interfaces. Posts in Tag lets you select posts to display in recent tab. Try this configuration for a new tag named Magezon Tag and see the result:

VI) Comments 6.1 Comment Grid Navigate Content > Comments to see the grid:
The functions and buttons in the comment grid are similar to other grids.

6.2 Manage comments To delete, hit Select > Delete To Edit, hit Select > Edit , then you see this:

VII) Authors 7.1 Author Grid Navigate Content > Authors to see the grid:
The functions and buttons in the Author grid are similar to other grids.
7.2 Manage authors From the Author Grid, hit Select > Delete to delete desired authors. Select > Edit to edit existing authors. This case, we try editing Demo account:

Account Information, Content, Social Networking, Search Engine Optimization, Posts in Author tab are easy to configure by entering or selecting the values. Try a configuration like below and see how the Demo Author looks in the front:
