ConclusionThe current e-book publishing platforms are broken. We need a new platform that would create completely secure e-books and the payments are self-executed for immediate transfer.
Adobe Digital Editions DRM (Digital Rights Management) that’s supposed to secure e-book files can be easily unlocked and opened with software like ePubsoft, which is available online and can be used by anyone. (No need to be a hacker.)
The current model of royalty or commission payment from the publishing platform to the publishers is slow. It requires a few weeks or even months to have it transferred to a publisher’s bank account.
Current E-book Publishing Platforms are Broken
The blockchain technology provides utmost security and immediacy.
E-books are encrypted with blockchain, which is immutable, incorruptible, and unduplicatable.
The publishing agreement between the platform and the publishers is immediately enforceable with smart contracts.
Upon successful payment for each sale by the buyer, the e-book will be automatically delivered and the payment will be immediately transferred to a crypto wallet or a bank account.
