Blockbusters is a well established drainage company which was formed in1984.We offer a comprehensive range of services to the public and privatesectors throughout East and West Sussex, Surrey, Kent, Hampshire andSouthern Greater London.


We offer a 24 hour service which is managed from ouroffice based in Glynde in East Sussex, where a team ofover 45 people and 25 specialist vehicles are deployedto ensure a rapid response to deal with emergencysituations whether they are private, commercial or lightindustrial. Our average time on site would be withintwo hours, traffic/weather permitting, or unless anappointment is otherwise arranged.

We are an ISO9001-2000 company and are registered waste carriers and arefully compliant with all Health and Safety, Environmental, and Equal Opportunitiesregulations.We are also an approved Trading Standards Contractor and we arealso approved by CHAS (Contractor Health & Safety). All our members of staffare trained in their specific skills, and are well versed in Health and Safety andEnvironmental awareness.

We operate and maintain our own fleet of vehicles along with all necessary plantand equipment that is required to carry out the drainage works effectively andefficiently, which keeps our costings to a minimum.Our staff are directly employedvirtually eliminating the need to use external sub-contractors.

Our customer base at present spans the public and private sectors, coveringcommercial, light industrial and domestic markets incorporating health authorities,insurance companies, hotel chains, pub groups, education authorities and major civilengineering contractors.

We can accommodate anything from a one-off blocked WC through to a fullexcavation of a major trunk roadto incorporate traffic managementand regulations laid out bythe National Roads and StreetWorks Act.

24 HOUR 7 DAYAWEEK EMERGENCY SEWER/DRAINCLEARANCE, CLEANING & MAINTENANCE

Blockbusters Contracts Ltd., offers eight emergency response specialised HighVelocityWater Jetting units capable of flow ratios of 14 gallons of water per minute andpressure of 4000 psi.

We also have in house all terrain vehicles with trailer jetters with the same capability.Using various hydro-mechanical attachments which are able to carry out extensiveroot cutting inside the pipe work, scale, fat and encrustation removal, includingextraction of cement and in some cases concrete.

Our emergency response vehicles are fully equipped with electromechanical machinery, jetting units as well as various otherspecialised tools for the industry.



• Domestic, commercial and lightindustrial properties cleared utilisingspecialised high velocity water jettingequipment, electro-mechanical andconventional equipment etc.

• Expert service for all blockages,including drains, toilets, sinks etc.

• Emergency plumbing works(toilets, taps, burst pipes, water mains etc), plus water main replacement.

• Saniflos, electric macerators, waste disposals, serviced and repaired.

• Specialised high velocity water jetting for cleaning, de-scaling and unblockingof drainage systems utilising units capable of 4,000 psi, using flail heads, ploughnozzles, spinning jets etc.

• Cost effective maintenance of drainage systems from underground pipe workthrough to small bore waste pipes; domestic, commercial and industrial.

• Closed Circuit Television Surveys using the latest plant and equipment toensure full colour, clear vision, views obtained of pipework. This includes a fullwritten report, drawing layout, DVD recording of system surveyed. It should alsobe noted that our CCTV surveys are carried out to European and InsuranceIndustry Approved Standards.

• Drain re-rounding and re-lining (this removes the need for excavation andreplacement).

• Patch lining for isolated repairs as well as the Brawoliner system for specialisedlining works on sensitive areas.

• Excavation and replacement of existing foul and storm water drainagesystems.This can include isolated repairs as necessary.

• Tankering service we carry out installation of sewage treatment plants/septictanks and repairs where possible.We can also provide an ongoing maintenanceprogramme if necessary. In addition we provide a tankering service for emptying ofseptic tanks, sewage treatment plants, interceptors, road gullies and removal of oilywaste where applicable.

• InsuranceWorks – An Insurance Claims Management Service.

CCTV SURVEYS

Blockbusters Contracts Ltd., use a number of CCTV Surveyresponse units to undertake investigations and pinpointdefects within sewer networks.We have on board three CCTVsurveillance vehicles, our experts are all professionals withintheir field and will compile a full report, schematic drawings andDVD recording of the drains surveyed as well as putting forward theappropriate recommendations for repair if required.

Our Operatives are fully versatile in the use of tractor units and surveying pipe workfrom 100mm up to 600mm in diameter.Within our surveillance vehicles electronictracing equipment is carried for locating and mapping of sewers to ensure that shouldisolated repairs be required, this can be carried out at the exact position ensuringminimal fuss and disruption to our clients.

Blockbusters Contracts Ltd., have ten remedial repair teamsto carry out repairs to private, industrial drainage/sewersystems.We operate our own fleet of plant to enable costings to be kept toa minimum.

Our specialised engineers are fully aware of customers needs and all works are carriedout to ensure minimal disruption with reinstatement carried out to the higheststandards.We use polyester felt liner for standard sewer rehabilitation which avoidsany need for excavation subject to the structural integrity of the existing pipe line.We also have the capabilities to reform pipe work which has compressed anddeteriorated from within the pipe line to allow a liner installation to be carried out.This in turn saves any costs for excavation where necessary.

Blockbusters Contracts Ltd., operates threespecialised NRSWA Accredited Road Work teamswho specialise in working in the public highway etc.

These workswill involvetraffic controlmanagement,deep excavationin excess of 5metres plus insome casesreconstructionof sub bases androad surfaces.

BRAWOLINERInnovative Rehabilitation System

The Brawoliner system is an Epoxy liner with the capabilities oflining around 90 degree bends ensuring the installation is creasefree on completion. This system has the advantages of liningthrough defects in drainage systems to which a standardpolyester liner cannot, saving tremendous costings in repairs tosewers beneath properties or within the public highway.Blockbusters Contracts Ltd., are one of the few Company’swithin the United Kingdom that are trained and specialise in thisrehabilitation technique.

Blockbusters Contracts Ltd., operate our ownfleet of in house plumbers who complementour Drainage Division. We provide anemergency service with qualified plumbers whowill be on hand to assist with burst pipes -taps - toilets - tanks - installations - ballvalves - water mains - cylinders - showers- radiators.

All our emergency response operatives are fullytrained in the installation and repair of SanifloUnits and macerators to ensure that theplumbing within your property is maintained toour highest standards.

WHATWE CAN DO FOR YOU

To cover the services we offer, we have two Contract Managers available whoare more than happy to provide a free of charge site visit with freequotation/estimate for any works that you require.They are also on hand toprovide free advice as and when necessary. Likewise, our contracts Managerswill be more than happy to organise and put in place any maintenanceagreements on commercial, domestic or light industrial drainage systemswhether large bore underground pipe or small bore internal pipes, to ensurethe smooth running of your waste/drainage system – both storm water andfoul water.

Our offices are open Monday toFriday from 0700 through to 2000hours, Saturdays and Sundays from0900 to 1800 hours. All other hourswe have a twenty-four hour answeringservice who will put you in contactwith our on-call engineers.

Since running our business we have gained a vast experience and knowledge oftraditional and modern drainage systems. The technology and experience that wasused then is still being used today. Our main aim is to keep the job in hand relativelystraightforward.We treat each job as a particular project and we are confident that wecan interpret each customer’s requirements to provide the desired end result.

We are NOT a franchise company and we can keep our prices fully under control asthere is nobody else taking a share of our profit line. The company is aware of ourenvironmental responsibilities and we have the facilities for removal and disposal ofsewerage, chemicals and petro chemical waste for all our sites under licence.

We are registered as a carrier of waste and comply with the regulations set out in1991.Where possible, waste from the company is taken to re-cycling centres so thatthis can be used on other projects.Again, having a quality system in place such as theISO9001-2000 standard, we document all information and records are kept for futurereference as well as ensuring that waste is documented and disposed of correctly.
