Wellness and Engagement - For All Mavericks!
8/28/2020
Hello Maverick Families, We are through our first week of our 2020-21 school year! I want to thank all of our staff members for connecting with our students and navigating some of the challenges of technology along the way. Distance learning, both teaching and learning, continues to be an evolving process for all, fine tuning as we move forward. It was refreshing to see our teachers building a community of learners and establishing rapport with their students. The overarching takeaway this week is that students and staff were thrilled to see each other. More importantly, getting back to teaching and learning. In addition to reconnecting with students, LCC delivered its first round of Student Connected (SC) time during the 2, 4, 6 block. Our LCC Administration team provided our Mavericks with a “Welcome Back” video . We look forward to more opportunities to build connections with our students with MavNation, ASB, Coaches, Clubs, Counselors, and more. I also want to thank Mrs. Challis and her MavNation crew for sending out this year’s first MavNation. We look forward to future episodes to provide LCC news and support student connections. Last, but not least, we are looking forward to hosting our first virtual Back to School Night (BTSN). Have a wonderful weekend and Go Mavs! Sincerely, Reno Medina, Principal Please see below for important announcements and upcoming events:
