19 June 2019 Dear Parent/Carer We are looking forward to welcoming your son/daughter to Onslow St Audrey’s School Sixth Form Induction on Wednesday 26 – Friday 28 June at 8.45am. On arrival, students should make their way to the main hall where they will be welcomed by ourselves and Mr Bullock. The aim of the Induction is to provide an opportunity for students to get acquainted with Sixth Form life here at OSA and within the Welwyn Hatfield Consortium. They will undertake taster lessons across the Consortium, be given induction assignments to complete for September and take part in some team building sessions. They will also be given the chance on Friday to ‘quiz’ current Sixth Formers about their experiences so far. Please ask them for the Sixth Form Learning Agreement which will need to be signed by yourself and your child and then returned to school by Friday 28 June please. Each student was given an individual letter outlining their personalised timetable for the three Induction days but don’t worry if it has been misplaced, we will provide a copy on Wednesday. It is important to note that as they will be treated like Sixth Formers as opposed to main school students, they are expected to comply with our dress code (smart casual, no trainers, jeans or hoodies) and will be able to leave the school site to purchase lunch or make their way to Consortium schools. We have a strict signing in and out system to ensure we know who is on the school site at any time and your son/daughter must make sure that when coming in and out of the school, they do this.
