PRIVACY
Different rooms have different privacy requirements, especially
bathrooms and bedrooms. Taking in a beautiful view whilst
maintaining privacy is another important consideration for living
areas for you to feel secure in your home. Privacy during the day
does not automatically mean privacy at night when the lights are
on inside. Day and night time privacy is achieved through dual
function products such as Luxaflex Dual Roller Blinds, Luxaflex

that are effortless to care for. The Softshades Range is made
from Polyester which is naturally anti-static, repelling dust.
The Fabric Collection features selected fabrics treated with
Duraguard® Fabric Protector and Sanitized® Antimicrobial
Protection. See page 27 for more details. Luxaflex Newstyle®
Polyresin Shutters can be removed from their hinged panels
and hosed outside.

HOME AUTOMATION

the convenience of remote control motorised technology
through hard wired or battery systems, including integration
into ‘Smart Home’ automation systems. This allows control

motorisation provides a sleek look to your
window coverings and offers enhanced child
and pet safety.
OTHER MOTORISED SOLUTIONSOther options include the basic Merger motors (Merger Remote, Merger Switch or Merger Remote 37) or the premium European
motor solutions from Somfy (Somfy Remote or Somfy Switch).

HDR
The Hunter Douglas advanced automation motor (HDQ) is the
premium motor solution used for the cost effective uRemote
home automation system. With iPhone®/iPad®/Android control
solution combine all of your home electrical appliances into one
control point from your Apple® or Android device. The HDQ motor
is capable of advanced home or building automation integration
and can provide real-time feedback on the blind position.
Hunter Douglas switch motor (HDS) is a premium European
manufactured motor, designed to be controlled from a
simple wall mounted switch or via automation systems that
have integrated blind control modules such as C-Bus®,
Dynalite®, etc.
Hunter Douglas 37 motor is a premium, quiet switch motor
that can be used to power small blinds as narrow as 450mm
or as large as 2.4 metres. Combined with the Platinum wired
wall switch, this motor can be remote controlled from a
Platinum 4 channel remote control and integrated with other
Platinum products as provided in our Softshades range.
With Qmotion Technology, the blinds can be operated by
Smartphone, tablet, remote control or moved to the desired
position by hand. Qmotion Technology uses regular D cell
alkaline batteries that are discreetly hidden inside the roller
tube. The batteries can be replaced without removing
the blinds and can last up to five years6 ensuring low cost
installation and maintenance – no electrician required!
This 240 Volt system provides a premium smooth, quiet
European manufactured roller blind motor to control single
or several linked blinds. Control is via the modern touch
sensitive remote control. HDR provides for optional wired
switch control or integration into home automation systems
with optional wireless switch control. Both 1 and 4 channel
remote controls are available. Groups of 4 blinds can be
assigned to each of the 4 channels, enabling up to 16 blinds
to be controlled from one remote. The remote is available in
black and white with optional wall holder.

A COMPETITOR’S FABRIC UV TEST RESULT
Luxaflex fabrics undergo stringent testing to ensure they
resist fading and maintain their original appearance for many
years. All Luxaflex Fabrics have been tested for colour or light
fastness on a scale from 1 to 8, where 8 is most fade resistant
from exposure to light. The Luxaflex Quality standard is 6 and
above. Many other blind & curtain fabrics available in Australia
do not pass these tests resulting in a shorter product life.
