Mary Louise M. Cabrera BAIST – 3A BLF immersion: reflection paper 1 st day The first day of the immersion made me open my eyes. It made me realize a lot of things. After hearing the stories of some students that we picked in Itaas elementary I realized that we are truly blessed for the benefit of having a good life. The students there are very friendly and playful, and some of them are from broken families or having a really hard time in life. They still know how to smile, play and be carefree even though they have a hard life. The student that I picked is very kind and innocent. She really had a hard life and came from a broken family but despite of it she still knows how to smile and she also loved her family very much. I pity her and at the same time I can’t help but get attached to her, I taught her things but in reality, she is the one who is teaching me. This immersion is really an eye opener for me, and I am looking forward to the next Mondays to come.
