Blessings From The Lord
And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying: “Speak to Aaron and his sons, saying,
‘This is the way you shall bless the children of Israel. Say to them:
“The LORD bless you and keep you;The LORD make His face shine upon
you,And be gracious to you;
The LORD lift up His countenance upon you,
And give you peace.”’
“So they shall put My name on the children of Israel, and I will bless
them.” - Numbers 6.22-27
“The LORD bless you and keep you”
1. “The Lord bless you”... • To confer well-being or prosperity.• The promise of blessings -
Deuteronomy 28.1-6 • The promise of curses - Deuteronomy
28.15-19
2. The Lord “keep you”...• Under God’s provision, care, guard,
and protection!• Psalm 121.1-8
“The LORD make His face shine upon you,
And be gracious to you”1. To “make His face shine”...• God’s smile of favor on His people.• “Make Your face shine upon Your
servant; Save me for Your mercies’ sake.” - Psalm 31.16
2. To “be gracious”...• To bestow favor upon, especially that
which is unmerited.• The grace of God.
“The LORD lift up His countenance upon you, and
give you peace.”1. To ‘lift up His countenance”...• Would be similar to a smile of favor,• But also involves pleasure and
affection.• As well as approval and recognition.
2. Peace from God• A positive state of rightness.• Isaiah 26.3-4
The “priestly blessing” for us
1. The Lord desires to bless us. – Ephesians 1.3; Matthew 5.1-12
2. The Lord desires to provide and care for us. – Matthew 6.25-32
3. God’s grace is manifest through Jesus.– John 1.17; 2 Corinthians 6.1-3
4. The peace of God is now possible.– Romans 5.1 Philippians 4.6-7
“Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a High Priest who
cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points
tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time
of need.” - Hebrews 4.14-16
If you desire “the priestly blessing" today, you must
be in Christ and He must be your High
Priest.
That is the only way God is blessing His people today!
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus
Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing
in the heavenly places in Christ”
- Ephesians 1.3
How does one get “into” Christ?

You must believe in Christ Jesus...
