BAPTISM: Parents who wish to have their child/
children baptized should contact the Parish Office for
arrangements. A preparatory session is mandatory
for the proper formation of parents and godparents.
MARRIAGE: Those wishing to enter a sacramental
marriage should contact the Parish Office at least six
months prior to the intended date.
VISITING THE SICK: Please inform the Parish
Office should a relative/friend who is homebound/
hospitalized need a pastoral visit or the Sacrament of
Anointing. A priest will attend to the Sacrament and,
as needed, will arrange for Holy Communion to be
brought to your loved one.
FIRST HOLY COMMUNION & CONFIRMATION:
Preparations for the reception of these Sacraments
are taken care of by the Office of Faith Formation.
Please call the Parish Office and your message will be
forwarded.
A weekly TELEVISED SUNDAY MASS has
begun airing on WCBD, Channel 2. The Mass will
be broadcast at 5:00am and at 11:30am every
Sunday. When you or someone you know is
unable to get to church due to sickness or physical
impairment, the TV Mass offers spiritual comfort
and inspiration.
DID YOU KNOW THAT CATHOLIC
COUNSELING SERVICES provides psychological
services to adolescents, couples and adults. For
information, call Dr. Mara Calderon, a Licensed
Clinical Psychologist, at 843-402-5417. Services
are confidential.
MASS INTENTIONS: If you wish to have a Mass
said for a specific intention on a specific date,
please let the parish staff know 4 months in
advance of the date. If the date of your choice is
not available, we will schedule your Mass for the
next available date.
ROSARY AT THE ABORTION FACILITY:

the Rosary and prayers at the West Ashley
abortion facility at 1312 Ashley River Road on

FAITH FORMATION & SACRAMENTAL
PREPARATION: If you have not handed in paper-
work, it is imperative that you take care of this as
soon as possible. December 4th we sent letters to
those who have not handed in paperwork.
DECEMBER 18: We will have class this day. Par-
ents are welcome to bring snacks to share. We will
provide drinks.
AFTER CHRISTMAS BREAK, we will resume
classes on January 8th.
CONFIRMATION REMINDER: Commitment Rite
is Sunday, January 12, during the 11 o'clock Mass.
SPECIAL SACRAMENTS I (for those enrolled in
Faith Formation in 3rd-8th grades who are prepar-
ing for First Reconciliation): Meet Wednesdays
(December 11 & 18 and January 9, 15, 22 & 29)
6:00pm-6:30pm in the school art room.
FIRST RECONCILIATION: Saturday, February
1, beginning at 10:00 am in the church (lasts about
1 1/2 hours). Before First Reconciliation, the chil-
dren need to learn the Rite of Reconciliation and
memorize the Act of Contrition.
The Knights of Columbus will be
making KEEP CHRIST IN
CHRISTMAS MAGNETS availa-
ble after all weekend Masses until
December 23rd. A minimum dona-
tion of $5 is requested. Donations will go to local
charities. This year we will also be making availa-
ble the 12 Days of Christmas Cards; each card ex-
plains the hidden meaning contained in the popu-
lar Christmas Carol. A $10 donation is requested.
The recipients of these donations will be Birth-
right, Lowcountry Pregnancy Centers, the Florence
Crittenton Programs, and Columbus Hope Founda-
tion. For more information, see the bulletin boards
at the back of the church.
Congratulations to those who recently received the
SACRAMENT OF BAPTISM - Aiden Hefel and
Jack Ryan Hefel Constante, children of Jeffrey Da-
vid Hefel and Anna Paola Constante.
There will be NO BAPTISM CLASS during the
month of December. The next class will be held on

IT’S ALL ABOUT JESUS!
Christmas is all about Jesus Christ, His coming into the world – the beginning of the plan that
the Father promised way, way back in history. The “way, way back” until this present time is
what we call Salvation History. Yes, this is the ‘saving work of God’ intricately and delicately
woven into the passing of time. “I will send a Savior” echoes in our minds during this time of
Advent as we recall the “First Coming” two thousand or so years ago. We are so fortunate to
live in post-Jesus times (historically) and, having been assured of His “Second Coming” at the
end of time, we have something to joyfully await in preparation.
This is a good thought for the world today amidst our tendency to focus on material things:
excuses to surround ourselves with the things of this world and the temporary security they
afford. Once again … it’s all about Jesus, not about us.
We are indeed human. We love to get/receive our Christmas gifts all wrapped up and under
the Christmas Tree awaiting December 25, the day we observe as Christmas Day. I am like
you. I await Christmas too. I will give gifts and receive gifts. But it’s all about Jesus. It is a
Blessed time!
Maranatha! Come, Lord Jesus, come!

través de la asistencia a la Misa del fin de semana

PRESENTACIÓN DE NIÑOS - Si desea presentar
a su niño o niña, por favor anotarse con la Sra.
Carmen Rivera en la sacristía una o dos semanas
antes del domingo deseado.
QUINCEAÑERAS - Los padres interesados deben
llamar a la oficina 5 meses antes de la fecha
estimada para hacer los arreglos. La quinceañera
debe haber recibido la Confirmación o estar
inscrita en su preparación.
BAUTISMO: Los padres que deseen bautizar
a sus hijos deben contactar la Oficina
Parroquial para hacer los arreglos. Una
sesión preparatoria es obligatoria para los
padres y padrinos.
MATRIMONIO: Aquellos con deseos de
entrar al Sacramento del Matrimonio deben
contactar la Oficina Parroquial al menos seis
meses previos a la fecha deseada.
VISITA A LOS ENFERMOS: Por favor
informe a la Oficina Parroquial si un familiar
o amigo que está confinado en casa u
hospitalizado necesita una visita pastoral o el
Sacramento de la Unción. Un sacerdote
asistirá al Sacramento y, según sea necesario,
coordinará que la Santa Comunión le sea
llevada a su ser querido.
SAGRADA PRIMERA COMUNIÓN Y
CONFIRMACIÓN: La preparación para la
recepción de estos Sacramentos es llevada a

Escuchamos esta palabra en los círculos de la Iglesia frecuentemente. Debemos. La Fe nos dice que todo viene de
las Manos de un Padre amoroso… sí todo… aún nuestras posesiones materiales. Cuando cooperamos con el plan de
Dios para cada uno de nosotros, podemos usar nuestros dones y talentos dados por Dios para ser creativos, para
tener trabajos que concuerden con nuestras habilidades, etc. Dios nos da TODO.�
Ser un administrador es ser un cuidador (recuerde que no somos dueños; ¡Dios es el dueño máximo!). A un
cuidador se le confía los bienes y propiedades de alguien más, y habrá un cálculo de la confianza depositada en cada
uno de nosotros. Solo una mente que comprende esto puede activar su corazón para responder en/con gratitud.
¿Cómo logramos esto? Respondemos. Damos de vuelta a Dios una porción del tiempo que Él nos ha dado; damos

Estamos llamados a poner a Dios primero en nuestra vida
diaria. Sin embargo, en el mundo acelerado de hoy, nos
empujan en muchas direcciones que afectan nuestro
tiempo y nuestras finanzas. Blessed Sacrament reconoce la
necesidad de equilibrar la vida y la fe, por lo que ahora
ofrece clases de Paz Financiera para aprender principios de
cómo manejar las bendiciones que Dios nos ha dado. La
Paz Financiera enseña a las familias, parejas y solteros:
cómo elaborar un plan de gastos que realmente funcione;
cómo salir de deudas; la seguridad de tener un fondo de emergencia; la bendición de las
donaciones caritativas y mucho más. Esta clase amena se reúne durante seis semanas, una
noche a la semana. La clase es impartida por un video de Andrés Gutiérrez, con discusiones en
grupos pequeños dirigidos por Evelyn Palomo Siliezar. El próximo curso inicia el 11 de enero a
las 6:30 p. m. en el salón parroquial. Después de la clase se le dará la oportunidad de
inscribirse para las lecciones restantes. ¡Todos están invitados!

Este año Blessed Sacrament cuenta con un «arbolito de angeles» para ayudar
caridades y familias locales necesitadas. Por favor, considere tomar una de las
e�quetas (o dos) del árbolito que está en la iglesia. La e�queta indica la edad Y
género de la persona que recibirá ese regalo. La e�queta también dirá si el regalo
debe ser envuelto o no.�
Las e�quetas deben ser pegadas al regalo y el regalo lo debe traer en la Misas del
14�15 de diciembre. Si no, por favor tráigalo el lunes 16 a la oficina parroquial.�
