Welcome to IATA, and thank you for choosing to train with us. The entire IATA Training team wants to ensure the very best experience for you during your stay with us. Our goal is to provide you with a safe learning environment where you can maximize your potential. The following pages set out some important logistical and practical information about our Singapore Training Center to help you get the most out of your time with us. Please take a moment to read about our services and procedures. Our team of training coordinators, instructors, and product managers will be happy to assist you with any questions or special needs you may have. 1. Accessing the Singapore Training Center
1.1. Transportation from the airport
Upon exiting the customs area in the Arrivals Hall, taxi stands are to be found in all terminals at Changi Airport, and the journey will take around 25 to 30 minutes.
Alternatively, the train service (MRT) runs from the airport to our Training Center. Take the Circle MRT line and get
off at Labrador Park Station. Take the link bridge to Alexandra Retail Centre (ARC) to MBC which operates daily
from 0630 hrs to 0000 hrs.

1.3. Training Center Location
The Singapore Training Center is located in the IATA office in Mapletree Business City (MBC), on Pasir Pajang Road.
1.4. Security Clearance at the IATA Singapore Training Centre
Please note that daily security clearance is required for access into the building. To ensure a smooth process, it is advisable to arrive at the security desk no later than 0830 hrs. Please ensure that each day of the course you bring:
• Photo identification (i.e. Driver’s License, National ID Card or Passport) • A printed copy and/or a soft copy of the verification email sent to you upon the making of the order (the
email should be titled 'Your purchase for [Course Title] in Singapore, Singapore (IATA), order #0000XXXXXX from IATA Learning'
Both documents have to be presented daily. Please note that there will be no retention of your documents.
1.5. Getting around in Singapore
There are multiple mobile and online platforms available to help you to plan your journey, no matter where you are in Singapore. Following are two recommendations:

1.5.1. MRT (Mass Rapid Transit) rail network
The MRT rail network is the most convenient mode of transport with stations all over the city and covers most parts of the island, including Changi Airport. The operating hours are from 5.30am to 12.30am daily, with intervals of 3 to 10 minutes. You will need an EZ link card, which you can purchase at kiosks available at all train stations.

1.5.2. By Car or Taxi
The MBC is connected by the Ayer Rajah Expressway (AYE) and Central Expressway (CTE). The main
entrance to MBC is on Pasir Panjang Road and there is another entrance off Alexandra Road. Take the
road to ARC and the PSA Building (PSAB).
Taxis are metered, but there may be surcharges added. You can hail a taxi by the roadside at most places,
or by queuing for one at taxi stands found at most shopping malls, hotels and tourist attractions. To
estimate the fare, check with the driver on the surcharges and ask for a receipt at the end of the trip. To
book a taxi, use the common taxi booking number is 6-DIAL CAB (6342-5222).
1.5.3. By Bus
Visit the Bus schedule for up-to-date information.
Bus numbers: 10, 30, 30e, 51, 143, 175, 176, 188, 188e travel along Pasir Panjang Road. Stop at
Mapletree Business City, ID 15159, outside MBC to reach the Training Center.
Bus numbers: 51, 57, 61, 93, 97, 97e, 100, 120, 166, 175, 408,963, 963E, 963R travel Alexandra Road. To
reach the Training Center stop at Opp NOL Bldg, ID 15049, opposite ARC.
2. Services at the Singapore Training Center
2.1. Building Reception Desk
Upon your arrival, please present yourself at the building Reception in the lobby for security clearance (see section 1.4). You will be directed to the Training Center where your Training Coordinator will direct you to the training room. Please wear your badge at all times. As the course begins at 0900 hrs, please arrive 30 minutes prior to class commencement to ensure limited disruption to the course.
2.2. Wireless Internet Access
There are four workstations in the training lounge for your training needs. All workstations have internet access and are linked to a photocopier/printer. Wireless internet access is available at the IATA Training Center. Please ask the Training Coordinator for the username and password. Please bring your laptops for course purposes, as our offices are not able to provide them. Please ensure that your laptop is properly configured for Wi-Fi access, as the IATA IT staff cannot provide support on external laptops. Please remember to bring your laptop cables and adaptors to connect to the Singaporean plugs as none are available in the Training Center. If you do not have an adapter, you can purchase one at the airport.

2.3. Smoking
Smoking is not permitted anywhere in the IATA Office. Smoking is permitted only outside the building on the ground floor.
2.4. Dress Code
Suggested dress for classroom courses is business casual.
2.5. Personal belongings
As we have other guests within our premises, please ensure that you take care of your belongings at all times.
IATA is not responsible for the loss of any personal items.
2.6. Travel Arrangements
Please ensure that you obtain all required visa, health and insurance documents well in advance of your course.
2.7. Banks and Foreign Exchange
Banks and Foreign Exchange offices are located near the IATA Office. The closest is HSBC Bank at MBC Block 20 #10-21

IATA Singapore has negotiated preferential rates for several hotels. Transportation to and from the hotel to our
Training Center is available. Please confirm with the hotel concierge upon your check-in.

3.1. Hotel Booking/Confirmation
You are responsible for making your reservation directly with the hotel. It is highly recommended that you make a refundable hotel reservation.
To make a reservation, complete the registration form above and email it directly to the hotel.
Payment for the room, tax and incidentals is the responsibility of the participant. Please note that IATA cannot accept any responsibility for your liability to the hotel.

Famous Restaurants and eating places in Singapore
Jumbo Sea Food Restaurant: You can choose from a number of seafood dishes, prepared in both the local and Hong Kong styles, including the famous chilli-crab and black pepper crab.
Chinatown Food Street: Offers specialty dishes from main Chinese dialects and the different races in Singapore, all under one roof.
Newton Food Centre: 500 Clemenceau Ave North. For great seafood, satay and other local delicacies.
Teochew City Seafood Restaurant: This restaurant is famous for its fine selection of Teochew & Cantonese cuisine.
Muthu Curry Restaurant: Muthu's Curry is a South Indian restaurant known for its fish head-curry served on banana leaves.
Five Star Hainanese Chicken Rice: Using Kampong chicken (free-range chicken), the chicken served at these restaurants is leaner with less fats and the rice served is fluffy and not as oily, with chicken broth used to cook it.
Din Tai Fung: Famous for its signature Xiao Long Baos (steamed pork dumplings) and heart-warming steamed chicken soup.

5.2. Fire Alarm (IATA building)

Please stay seated until there is an announcement confirming that it is indeed a fire
If confirmed, please leave the training room in an orderly manner
Take only personal belongings with you
Do not use the elevators
Follow the instructions of the evacuation team (wearing yellow vests)
Follow the evacuation team to the assembly point outside the IATA building

7. Other Useful Information
7.1. Visas and Entry Information
Visit the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority of Singapore for full details. We recommend that you allow a minimum of 4 weeks to process your visa application. IATA cannot intervene in the application process or guarantee such documentation. However, should the Singapore Embassy require an invitation letter from IATA, please contact the training coordinator assigned to your course. Any such letter can only be released by IATA after course fees have been paid in full.
7.2. IATA Bank Details for Course Fee Payment
Complete payment must be received prior to the beginning of the course. Please note that IATA does NOT accept CASH payments. Credit card, bank transfer and Clearing House payments are welcome.
