Principal News

All students to return to school It was fantastic to see nearly all our students return to school this week as school starts to get back to ‘normal’. The students are busy settling into the usual routines and the teachers are settling their classes and engaging the students in valuable learning opportunities.

A reminder for all work packs to be returned to class teachers to analyse and offer feedback. It is a requirement that students who stayed at home on school days demonstrate a continuity of learning through their work packs or online activities. The work pack return will provide evidence of ongoing learning. Unfortunately, if such evidence is not shown, the students’ attendance will be marked as unauthorised leave. This is a Department of Education policy.

National Reconciliation Week National Reconciliation Week is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia. This week runs from 27 May to 3 June. Our students will participate in some learning about this in their scheduled library lessons during this week and next.

This was part of the National Simultaneous Storytime which is an event that that is held annually at school. Garden News

It has been good to see the garden continuing to grow. Last week we harvested radish, silver beet and

lettuce. This week we will be doing the same, as well the snow peas may provide the first peas from the

trellis bed if they grow any higher we may need a stepladder.

We have cauliflower, broccoli, carrots, beetroot and multi coloured silver beet all growing well. The

strawberries are settling in well and already we have a few flowers appearing.
