BLACK PEARL
FIGHT FOR
CANCER
I am Fashion
Are You At Risk
For Breast Cancer?
MODELS KAYE JASMINE SONEA CALLIE CANDICE JAMESON
$800
The time has come to take it up a notch. The first two issues of Black Pearl were ex-
tremely nice, but now it’s up to us to take the publication to a whole new level.
As you will see in Issue 3 , the layout will become more visually entertaining and
easier to read. The photos will be more vibrant and thought out. And as always, the mod-
els will be the most beautiful in Detroit.
Our Issue 3 Cover model Christiana Horrington is by far one of the most amazing
talents in the South East Michigan modeling arena. Available for print, runway, swim-
suit, lingerie and glamour, Christiana is prepared for any campaign that may come her
way. As you’ll see from her layout, she’s extremely versatile and gifted. Her beauty is
beyond measure.
We’d also like to welcome a new advertiser to the family, LaFontaine Motors very
own Barb Van and Nina. Let’s show them support and let them know that their advertis-
ing dollars are well spent with Black Pearl.
In this issue we ask why do women love so hard!! The answers just may surprise
you. And maybe not!!!
As usual, you’ll find interesting articles on health and beauty, some lovely poetry,
and other articles of interest to the aspiring model. If there’s a topic you’d like to see dis-
cussed drop us a line on the website.
As always
Love You All

MM: ts our genetics. We are more emotional & hormonal
by nature. Dont hold it against us. Lol! We didnt choose to be
female....daddy's sperm did! hahahahaha!
SH: Omgggggg good ? N I'm a womAn n I want to Know
PN: it is in our nature. sometimes its our downfall but it's
true
KW: because God made us that way....
HBD: because were so emotional and tend to look deeper
into a situation than we need to and tend to see more poten-
tial inside of a person than we should at time, yup that’s all I
can think of.
PN: bcuz parents didnt raise their sons right and now the
world has no respect 4 women therefore we settle most times
vince hollaway No one should ever settle for less!! You can
be miserable all by yourself!! I didn't want to have children
until I got married and I didn't. I didn't get married until I
knew she was the one and she is!!! There's no need to ever
settle. Set your bar and expect that the man will want to pole
vault over it to be with you. So women, don't just settle just
to say you have a Man.
PN: No one should but they do all the time. They don't ex-
pect much of themselves from a relationship so why should
they expect anything more from their so called mate? It's a
horrible cycle. long gone are the days of chivalry, courtship,
and respect.
JS: OMG Yes i need to Kno This Bcuz im N Love with a
Man and it’s hard Love. N NOW all I do is Worry.
LM: I agree Vince... I WILL NEVER SETTLE FOR LESS
THAN I DESERVE... WOMEN KNOW UR WORTH, AND
NEVER SETTLE FOR ANYTHING WORTHLESS...
DM: Because it's in our nature to love hard and hate hard to
one or the other sometimes there is no in between
MN: cause we can’t control our heart....
We posted this question on facebook and received a furry of responses. It seems the Women of Detroit
are somewhat in agreement on why they love as hard as they do. Often too hard and with tragic circum-
stances. Chime in on the conversation at blackpearlmag.net.
WHY I PUBLISH BLACK PEARL MAGAZINE!!
A ll too often I get asked this question. The main reason I go through the time and expense to
publish this great local magazine is to give our local talent an outlet. They deserve to be seen
and heard and Black Pearl magazine is that vehicle. We the staff will give anyone the opportu-
nity to get their story published, any model the opportunity to be seen by many and also any photogra-
pher the ability to get his/her work published.
My mission is to get exposure to the many great models in the city of Detroit and surrounding
area. Our magazine is seen by many agencies and agents across the country each issue. It is exposure
that the models wouldn’t normally get. The reason I publish the magazine? For you Detroit!! For
you!!
