Origin: The Founding of the Chapter was based on the rantings of an Eclesiarcal Priest who saw a vision of a great invasion by some shadowed Xenos from the far flung reaches of the periphery. With this prognostication, they were prepared and formed by the worlds of the Ur-council of Novae Terra in the 36th millennium to face the possible future threat to the Imperium before it could encroach.

Gene-seed: Their gene seed is taken from the Dark Angels chapter, though with this new chapter a set of flaws was found in the growth of the gene-seed. The Nueroglotis of the genocide was never developed and filed off the rest of the organs. Though not a heavy loss it is a mark on their purity.

Demeanor: The Demeanor of the chapter since its inception has been a close knit and inward trusting organization forming strong deep and permanent bonds between their brothers. Spurred on by their task of defending their sector and watching for the future threat from the outside, they have done well to set themselves up and solidify a hold on the frontier region. Though those from the outside the chapter, but inside the Imperium are seen in the chapter as a threat of weakness that should be over-watched. They will find where the future threat will come and they will stop the weak minded from falling to it's wiles.

  • Founding Father:

    1. The Chapter Master of the Black Paladin chapter also co-runs the Chaplains of the chapter as the master of sanctity. Carried over from the Dark Angels Azfiel has proven that he can truly show the Chapter the way to the true worship of the Emperor. Though he has a hard hand he fully accepts the lingering nature of the esoteric paths his battle brothers have from before their time as space marines. In his years of service he has fought by many of his brothers in the Dark Angels, and has now fought among the whole of his chapter against many differing foes. His greatest kill being Ktz'Tan'acth a daemon prince who turned one of their armory worlds against its self.

Homeworld: AEther. A feral post-civilized world that collapsed with their biologic experiments getting far out of hand. By the time the Imperium came to this world as its selection for the founding of the chapter the world had become a realm divided between the three world spanning kingdoms that fought amongst each other and the horrors of their creation. Their faith was one of a grand savior that would come to them in the death hour, the Imperium arrived, dropping in the Chaplain into their midst and they quickly fell to his words and the chapter was allowed to take the whole of their young in order to protect this world.

Rule: The Rule of the Black Paladin's chapter is one of direct guidance. The world is kept in its dark state to press the people into proper form for the creation of space marines from their stock. The people while this is a hard life believe that this is the path that must be made for the Emperor's words from the mouth of the skull priest are the only truth.

Organization: The organization of the chapter is one of apprenticeship. One Veteran space marine leads his younger in the ways of the chapter till he is prepared to lead a young one of his own. If they show promise with specific weapons during their time under their Older they are shuffled into one of the specialist groups, such as the devastators, or the assault squads, and eventually into the Sternguard, or the Vanguard veteran squads.

Tactics: The chapter focuses on bringing horror to their foes. Much like the terrors of their homework that they have learned so well from. Chemical strikes and sudden attacks from unknown points are the keys to their ways and they gladly will always show the enemy why they should fear to look away. Their Outriders being the strongest of their chapter choosing to tame and ride the Varit Hounds of their homeland great slavering houndsthat can run at a mind bending speeds.

  • Beliefs: The chapter, though focusing on the Emporer, and the Lion. Have begun spreading an ancestral cult through their chapter and people mainly saying that as long as before the battle you, pray for those who came before you the Emperor will send them to guide your very shots. Though if your aim filters too often then you have been cursed and must stay away from your brothers until you can show that your curse has been lifted by killing a Grand beast of your homework and bring it back by hand to the Chapter Master.

Current Status: The chapter currently sits at full strength with no more, or less than one thousand space marines. Their people wish to offer more to their chapter, but the fear that they may become weaker as the others if they took on something beyond their commands keeps the starkly within the lines of the orthodox ways of the Codex when it comes to their numbers at least.

    Friendships, and Foes:

Their work through their sectors has led them to defend a great many kinds of worlds, and forces. The Forgeworld Achaera, under High Techno-arch Vandaian, They have fought grandly at the side of Inquisitor Hasan during the incursions by the Bleeding Eye Warband into their sector, And on many worlds in their system they focus on supporting the orbits that protect the order. With this they have made what friends they could trust, though their sector is not filled with their allies alone. The Threats of things like the Tyranid swarm that press in on their edges, The Chaos led rebellions that hit them from within, Their warband supporters, and The Ork worlds to their galactic north have them bustling for what order they can build.
