JUNE 30, 2012

The Black Ice Couloir appears fairly thin.  The lower section, from the rock pitch

up, is mostly snow with some rock to the crux.  There is a thin line of ice in the

crux section, then more mixed ice, snow, and rock above that.  Climbers

attempting the BI right now should be ready for thin, mixed conditions.
