Dear Rutgers Alumni and Friends,

Enjoy an action-packed, fun-filled, and historical adventure with fellow alumni in the Wild West. This six-night trip features visits to the Black Hills to see Mount Rushmore National Memorial and the Crazy Horse Memorial, a work in progress of the famous Indian chief.

At Custer State Park, you will experience a thrilling safari in search of some of the park’s 1,500 free-roaming buffalo. You will visit Devil’s Tower National Monument in Wyoming and explore historic Deadwood, South Dakota, the 1876 rough-and-tumble gold camp and gambling town where Wild Bill Hickok and Calamity Jane became legends.

The Black Hills Wild Horse Sanctuary is a vast prairie that is home to hundreds of wild mustangs and to Native American petroglyphs. Badlands National Park contains spectacular examples of multicolored ridges, cliffs, and canyons.

Also on the itinerary is a trip back in time on an authentic narrow-gauge railroad dating to the Black Hills Gold Rush.
