The Mood Disorders Association of Manitoba is a self-help organization dedicated to providing support, education and advocacy for those living with a mood disorder, co-occurring disorders or other mental health illnesses. We increase publicawareness about mood disorders and empower people to develop hope and recovery.
Black Eagle Transitions is a new and innovative program that addresses the lack of support and assistance available to Indigenous youth transitioning from northern rural life to city life. The program is held in partnership with Black Eagle, the Mood Disorders Association of Manitoba, and Winnipeg Public Library. This program is free to participants and is sponsored by the Winnipeg Tattoo Convention.

Program Delivery
The Black Eagle Transition Program is an innovative program that strives to address the lack of support and assistance available to Indigenous youth.
The program connects Indigenous youth to community resources while in transitioning to living in Winnipeg from rural Manitoba. Through the support of the facilitator, including peer support, Indigenous youth learn and gain skills to effectively and successfully transition.
The program is offered for 10 weeks on a quarterly basis and is free to attend. Registration is ongoing.
