Last Wednesday we held our an-nual Club Fair. This is the time of year when students are most enthusiastic about joining clubs. The challenge is to maintain that enthusiasm and interest. Last week we talked about creating a Blackboard presence for your organization or team. This can keep announcements and club infor-mation in front of your members on a daily basis.

If you want one or more of your officers to have more of a stake in maintaining that Blackboard presence, we can give them a role in your club to make that happen. Students could then create announcements, record attendance, and attach pictures and minutes. It would, of course, need to be trusted members of the organization. The role in the club would only apply to that specific club.

Or simply click around and search for information! You would be surprised at how much is already out there on the chapter you are teaching right now!

When you find something you like or create your own, simply snip/screenshot it or copy and paste the link. Submit it in the Blackboard Instructors class! Have fun!

Q: Would you like to give a SHOUT OUT to a teacher who has particularly used technology effectively this year (2014-2015)?

A: They all did really well. Mrs. Lopez always posts our homework ahead of time on Blackboard which makes it really helpful because I [know] what's due. Mr. Inman has used BlackBoard quiz-zes, assignments, and posts effectively this year. Ms. Trejo who gives an outline of what we did in each class in case you miss it. Mr. Hester uses it every class for mostly everything. Mr. Norris posts all homework, lectures, and test reviews there.
