E-Days Ahead? Although Pete Delkus hasn’t declared it yet, we must be prepared. When we first began planning for E-Days, we prepared a “lesson for all seasons” that we could slide in if needed. After that first year when we had three snow days, we realized there was a more effective way to plan for these days to make them more meaningful and without falling behind in our schedule. Since we have Blackboard and our students have laptops, there are many ways to continue our lessons even with multiple E-Days. It takes tweaking, creativity, and preparation. We can communicate through Blackboard and FriarNet with parents and with students. We can rec- ord and upload videos and discussion board topics to engage our stu- dents. Since the season is upon us, we will be discussing ideas to stay on track while curled up by the fire in our Winnie the Pooh pj’s sipping hot chocolate.
