Resume and Portfolio I have worked in the Point-of-Purchase Display industry for 17 years...

The most recent of which was my work as a critical component of the team at the Royal Promotion Group,

where I served for 10 years building their display engineering capabilities before my Departure in Septem-

ber of 2007. I have extensive experience in the creation of countertop testers, merchandiser and glorifiers,

as well as endcaps, floorstands and in-line gondolas, for virtually every brand in the cosmetic and fragrance

industry. I have implemented display and promotions in retailers such as Walgreen’s, Duane Reade, Tar-

get, Walmart, Macy’s, Sephora, Bloomingdales, and Nordstrom.I have also been involved in the Design and

construction of retail boutique environments for Bliss, H2O, Paul Mitchell, Bath & Body Works, Anna Sui,

and Vera Wang. I have worked with a diverse group of manufacturers, fabricators, toolmakers, molders,

and woodshops in the Northeastern United States, Canada, and China. Since then I have left the industry

to work in corporate and Trade Show Exhibits and events.

I work and live in southwestern Connecticut and seek only hourly contract display engineering work. I

work in AUTOCAD R2007, and can output PDF and Adobe Illustrator files. Services include: Pricing/es-

timate drawings, fully detailed shop drawings, prototype coordination and manufacturing implementation

and troubleshooting. I will quote work if required. Sorry, no turnkey.

EXPERIENCE The Royal Promotion Group, New York City. 1997 to 2007. Director of Engineering and Development. Overall Responsibility for Technical development of all Point-of Sale Displays and store fixturing, including drawing packages, prototypes, feasibility review, and coordination with vendor-manufacturers in the transition from final engineered concept to produced goods. Also involved in field installations, press rooms, and retrofits.

Management Responsibilities include: Project Scheduling and timelines, budgets, freelance contracting, personnel matters for a staff of four.

Thomson-Leeds Co., New York City. 1995- 1997 Director of Design. Overall responsibility for creative development of all point-of-sale displays, primarily focusing on workflow and quality, concept models and sales presentations. Also involved in field retrofits, and technical troubleshooting.

Management responsibilities include: Project scheduling and timelines, budgets, freelance contracting, personnel matters for a staff of nine.

Display Producers, Inc., Bronx, New York. 1990-1995 Preproduction Manager. Coordination of the manufacture of point-of-sale displays with specific emphasis on the transition from preliminary conceptual design to production-ready products. Responsibilities include vendor contact fro materials and equipment, production samples and standards, and manufacturing trouble shooting.

John Oldham Studios, Inc. Wethersfield, CT. 1987-1990 Exhibit Designer/Coordinator. Responsible for the implementation of trade show and other exhibits from preliminary proposal, client contact/sales, refinement, cost estimating, detail drawings and fabrication oversight, to coordination of shipping, show services and set-up labor. Also involved in interior renovation, general contracting, and corporate lobby exhibits.
