Toast - A Modern Cafe on SpruceIts Saturday morning at 7am and your husband wakes you by saying “its time to get on the bikes”. As anyone can imagine 7am on a Saturday is not a time that I want to see! The only thing keeping me going is knowing the fact that we will be having brunch at Toast when our ride is complete! 30 miles and a nice shower, we arrive to Toast! We decided to bring our dog and sit out side under the nice shaded umbrellas. We were greeted upon arrival by a lovely server who was quick to grab us and the dog some refreshing water and menus -- we began to figure out our food game plan!

I decided to go with the “avocado toast” and my husband got the “sausage toast”. If you want perfectly poached eggs and super fresh avocado this is the place to go! The eggs sat on a sliced English muffin (I think they make from scratch) avocado, roasted tomatoes and a side salad. Everything was delicious! We decided to share some potatoes too!

If you’re not looking for a full on sit down breakfast they have a lot of grab-n-go options too! For those of us who like sweets for breakfast there is an array of pound cakes, cupcakes, muffins, croissants etc... to fit the bill. If you are looking for a more “healthy” approach to breakfast they have Umpqua oatmeal, Kind bars, fresh fruit and yogurt. While they have a full service coffee bar they also have some fun beverage options in the cold case too.
