INTRODUCTION:
The Co-operative bank is a financial entity which belongs to its members, who are at
the same time the owners and the customers of their bank. Co-operative banks are often
created by persons belonging to the same local or professional community or sharing a
common interest and generally provide their members with a wide range of banking and
financial services like loans, deposits, banking accounts.Co-operative banks are deeply rooted
inside local areas and communities. The Shivamogga District Co-operative Central Bank
(SDCC) functions as a central agency between State Co-operative Bank (State Apex Bank)
and Primary Agricultural Co-operative Societies (PACS) in the district. A cooperative bank
is a financial entity which belongs to its members, who are at the same time the owners and
the customers of their bank. Cooperative banks are often created by persons belonging to the
same local or professional community or sharing a common interest. Cooperative banks
generally provide their members with a wide range of banking and financial services (loans,
deposits, banking accounts etc.). Cooperative banks differ from stockholder banks by their
organization, their goals, their values and their governance. Present study attempts to
examine the growth of SDCC through selective indicators, it analyzes the Deposits,Credits
and C/D Ratios of SDCC. This project report also studies the growth of investment, working
Capital Management in SDCC and analyze the Financial & operational performance ofshivamogga district central co-operative bank ltd., using ratio analysis
OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY
1) To examine the growth of SDCC through selective indicators
2) To analyze the Deposits, Credits and C/D Ratios of SDCC.
3) To study the growth of investment by SDCC in India.
4) To understand the working Capital and Cost of Management position in SDCC
